I do know about banana plants not being trees, although it was originally explained to me as
"bananas aren't actually fruit, they're a herb".

I believe bananas are berries
and strawberries and raspberries are not. What a world, eh?

Botanically speaking, bananas are fish
that have simply evolved to live in trees

Oh, so now we're just trying to prove things with facts?
Nice try brainiac

Similarly, pigs - despite looking and behaving very much like mammals - are actually a very highly evolved species of moss, thus making bacon technically vegan.
I read about this in a paper sponsored by PETA. I was as shocked as you are, I can tell you, but you can't argue with science, can you?

On a serious note
Someone once told me that banana trees/herbs/whatever walk.
As in, over a long time their roots will move towards higher concentrations of water and nutrients in the soil and kind of pull the tree along with them.
Trufax or total bollix?

I hadn't heard of that before
But there might be something to it:

Looks like it's to do with the way they're cultivated. Interesting though.

Only about 1% of the mass of a proton comes from its constituent quarks.
The rest is due to the potential energy in the gluonic field binding the quarks together.

Ragdoll physics in video games were originally introduced in Hitman as a method of saving memory
Rather than have to make a separate animation for each character model when picked up and moved, they created nodes at the end of each limb, these would tell the model where the limbs should be based on movements in the environment, allowing the game to animate models on the fly rather than pre-bake them.
One thing that the developers noticed using this new system was that letting the nodes go limp and fall in the direction of gravity looked like a much more convincing death animation than the one they animated/mocapped, and many games began to adopt and refine this technique over time.
Or, I don't know, the inside of a vagina or something.
