Just been to see my 5 year old daughter's school performance.
It was about a group of penguins who find that their home is melting and travel to Australia, America and the UK to convince people to stop using cars, conserve energy and recycle more.

Whilst it's an important message I felt that the presentation and proposed solutions came across as somewhat naive and there was no discussion about the underlying economic and geopolitical factors contributing to climate change.
I'd rate it 4/10.

Even penguins are woke now

We went to birdland at the weekend and the penguins there seemed perfectly happy with a shallow concrete enclosure and a bucket of fish.
And yet the Year 1 teacher was trying to convince us that they need an entire fucking continent to themselves! Might have to put something on the parents' whatsapp group complaining about them brainwashing our children.

I hope you stood up and started screaming that it was all woke lies, and made them all cry.

Also I was sat next to some prick who has a BMW i8 but cycles to work and he was radiating smugness throughout.

I like to struggle home from the supermarket on foot, carrying 25kg of shopping for miles in torrential rain
because it carbon offsets the young people in the carpark having contests on who has the loudest exhaust and most impressive stationary revs.

If they were serious about addressing climate change they would have gone to the world's biggest polluter, China
And the play would have ended with them being made into soup.
