Surprised I’ve made it this far in life without being scammed but my time has come and got conned by some eBay cunt.
Have you ever been scammed?

Low-level stuff
Got sold some counterfeit stuff over ebay, a couple of times the got away with it, others I spotted it. I had someone really start to reel me in over the phone once by spoofing my bank's number and claiming there were some fraudulent transactions on my account. They asked how much I had in the account and when I told them they hung up - not much point trying to scam someone out of an overdraft at the limit!
(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 12:21, archived)
I’d not used eBay in years, now I see why

(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 12:23, archived)
I've had less bother with AliExpress tbh.
It IS full of scams, but they're mostly obvious, and the real sellers are great.
(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 13:53, archived)
Ebay is really good for hard-to-find bits
like components, parts, borderline junk. I bought a couple of CDs there last week, about £4.
(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 14:44, archived)
enjoy the silence

(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 15:49, archived)
why do you want junk on your borderline it just makes no sense

(, Tue 5 Nov 2024, 1:00, archived)
I have never been scammed thanks to my unassailable genius
and my lack of assets that would make it worth someone's time to scam me.

(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 12:43, archived)
yeah
but to be honest I knew going in it was going to be a scam but I gambled £25 on it not being.

I lost

ebay for me for a whopping £10. They're probably living it up in Dubai now thanks to me.
I hardly ever use the site anymore.

I’ve certainly learnt my lesson

You need Scamulet®, the anti-scam amulet. Protects you from evil scamming energies.
They're usually £200, but I've got limited stock for sale at £150 each!

Not me, my ex
We were on holiday and he decided to have a go on a mechanical bull. Paid €25 for a DVD of his bull riding which, of course, was a blank disc when we got home.
(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 13:18, archived)
I remember when blank CDs cost £50

I don't

who bought this.

Only ebay scammers - but none of them got away with it in the end...
They were "punished" suitably.

I used to buy aloeswood. After taking what seemed like huge risks buying from anonymous private vendors in places like Cambodia and Brunei, I finally got burned by some lying cunt in Arizona.

I've been scammed a couple of times but not for any life chaning sums.
If you notice you're being scammed in time it's very easy to get your money back, especially on ebay. I expect it's harder on Amazon where 90% of products sold are fake anyway.

NEVER buy electronics on Amazon, btw.
(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 15:59, archived)
Yeah should be able to get my money back
Definitely agree about Amazon
(, Mon 4 Nov 2024, 16:00, archived)
I buy almost daily... never had any issue, except when a dodgy van driver steals things.
