It's not a big room so the sub just adds a bit of depth, but the soundbar is pretty good. Just the dimensions are a bit wrong so it doesn't quite fit beneth or in front of the TV but we've bodged it so it's OK.

I've got old-fashioned 5.1 speakers, wall-mounted in the appropriate positions (not the subwoofer, obviously).My wife won't let me go full Dolby Atmos in the ceiling. She's half-deaf in one ear anyway, so it'd be wasted on her.

The sticky tape goes along the soundbar, sticky-side-upwe've tucked either end under the bar. Cat's don't like to step on sticky surfaces so she jumped up, put one paw on it and recoiled in horror.

Sort ... of ... stuck it to the shelf the soundbar is onbetween the foot things of the soundbar and the shelf. The cat refused to get stuck to to the tape which is how it does the cat deterring thing.
