People finding tortuous routes
of rationalisation to align deeply held religious dogma with a complex reality.
Or perhaps the safest place to be gay in the medieval world was the monastery/nunnery?
Enough of this bickering.

The Fall of the Simpsons
If you've got a spare half hour, worth a watch.
An interesting dissection of behind-the-scenes goings on that ultimately resulted in the decline of the funny yellow family on telly.
I still think new episodes are a cut above most telly bollocks. But the real magic is long, long gone.

unbelievably, you don't need a licence to have kids
ikr, it seems mad, It's the greatest responsibility you could have - way bigger than driving a car
But if you've got a cock and you know someone with a vagina and a functional womb you can have a kid.
If you are already a violent criminal or a drug addict, they might take it away from you when you have mentally damaged it enough to ensure it will pass on all your dysfunctions to yet another generation.
Keeps social workers and prison warders in jobs, so it isn't all bad.

My dog discoverys the in-ground irrigation
I made this!
I had to dig up several of the sprinkler heads that broke due to the freeze and was testing the system. Since I usually run the sprinklers at night to avoid excessive evaporation she had never seen them because they retract into the ground. She was barking at them the whole time and ended up digging around several of them.
That is all.

Mine has caught a cock pheasant, who was too slow taking off and didn't notice her slinking up until too late. as far as I'm concerned, there's only 2 possible explanations:
1. Science. Increased frequency and severity of extreme weather events due to man-made climate change.
2. Religion. These are acts of God.
Conclusion: Either those Texas republicans are wrong about climate change, or god hates them.
Mind you, claiming 'Mother Earth' is annoyed because people are denying science is a special kind of hatstand.

But in a nutshell, two major house moves and being far too busy with "real life". My recording stuff is still in a box.

I'll be watching this tonight whilst cooking dinner.
We're having steak cooked black and blue.

And cider. Lots of cider.

There's a cunt that works in the same building as me that is fucking obsessed with quinoa.
He was the coach for a school basketball team (not your typical American High School star-of-the-future type team, a fucking Scottish secondary school full of awkward looking white kids that couldn't make any friends on the football team) and suddenly he's this fully qualified physiotherapist, dietician and all round guru of everything fitness.
Every fucking labeled plastic box of shite I've seen him munching from has contained the mystical grain and all it seems to have really done is made me dislike him more than I did previously to his hipster fad food obsession.
He emphasises the fucking noun just like Lynchey does in this video too. You can hear him talking about it with great arrogance and self-importance from fucking yards away.
The worst part is I actually used to enjoy quinoa. I didn't even come close to the fetishistic over-enthusiasm that this particular throbbing cloaca possesses, but it was enjoyable. Nowadays whenever catch sight or sound of the grainy little morsels, I'm filled with nothing but resentment and mild fury.
What a fucking twat he is...

I always correct people who call it keenwha
I tell them it is pronounced kwin-oh-ah.
When they correct me back I ask them what they call the cured pork sausage from Spain (chorizo), when they say cho-ritz-oh, I say, "If you say words with english rules, it's kwin-oh-ah, if you do not then it is chore-eeth-oh. Choose."

I read somewhere of a convention
Where the latter should be used for ethically sourced Quinoa, and the former should be used for the Quinoa imported from South America, leaving the locals unable to afford their staple food. It kind of works for me.

Chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, gibbons, and lemurs aren't monkeys.
Really, what's the point of producing internet comedy, if you aren't going to be taxonomically accurate?

From what I remember it was what they did if you were suspected of being an informant.
Basically you got your hands cut off, arms tied behind your back with barbed wire, petrol filled tire put around your neck and set on fire.
"With our boxes of matches and our necklaces we shall liberate this country."
Winnie Mandela.

Wasn't just suspected informers but any one who dared say anything against ANC. Or questioned there finances or generally didn't play along with her/there agenda.

Very long drawn out court case was dogged with all sorts shit
Witness intimidation bribes to corrupt officials etc etc
All in the name of South Africans unity and justice.
Nelson Mandelas release scuppered her plans and was the one thing they didn't want. If he was in prison then he would have stayed a powerful rallying call, and they would have carried on doing what they had been doing, but his release bought the spotlight of the world right into the heart of the organisation and people saw it for what it really was

I suppose Asian person turns out to be massive racist shouldn't come as to much of a shock,
but it's still pretty disappointing.
I realise not all Asians are racists, but after living in Asia for a decade, I would say the vast majority are.

I will add to your sweeping generalisation by adding my own anecdote. The most openly racist man I ever met was Indian...he didn't have a good word to say about any fellow Asian.

You know how rabid Scots Nationalists hate English people
even though we're all basically the same fucking nation and have been for centuries?
It's merely a case of picking an arbitrary level in the hierarchy of groups-that-people belong to and being a dick to them. Some people in Cornwall hate people from Devon, when to my mind it's all the fucking west country.

Just a shame they've been delivered in such a clickbaity, idiotic manner. It's unfortunate that this is the medium likely to gather the most hits because the target market are more interested in Popsugar than National Geographic.
