I looked it up and apparently, retaining first-past-the-post as a voting system keeps the U.K. in the company of such fine representative democratic governments as Afghanistan, Burma, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sudan, Tonga, and Zimbabwe.
