The Vikings brush and braid the giraffe's hair and occasionally pet it and say it's a lovely giraffe (giraffes can be rather insecure), and in return the giraffe gives them a ride over the ocean.

How do you get down from a giraffe?
You don't, you get down from a duck! (or a goose, as they're often called)

are now sadly extinct. When they died out, the Greggs' Giraffe also disappeared from the savannah.
