# ha
one time I realised I was in a dream when a horse started talking to me. I was like "wait a minute, horses don't talk!" and the horse was all "yeah they do," totally fucking rumbled though, it turned out it was a dream afterall.

OR WAS IT?

# the other night I dreamt I was this American guy who worked in an office,
and spent the whole time trying to get away with skiving off.

Actually I was two American guys because I switched characters half way through. The first guy got accused of skiving off but wasn't, in fact it was the second guy getting him into trouble.

Not one of my best dreams.

# that's so weird! the other night I had a dream that I was you dreaing you were this American guy who worked in an office,
and spent the whole time trying to get away with skiving off.

I think in the end I tried to honk your tits while you slept.

# Clue that it's a dream
Americans have no idea what skiving is. Some kind of desert topping?
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 19:17, archived)
# How do you "get away" with desert topping in an office?
What even is desert topping? Do deserts even have tops?

# I had a recurring dream when I was little
it consisted of my street being flooded, and I had to get home using a raft and a pole. A big red curtain occupied our then living room, in front of which an orchestra was playing. The musicians were in black tie and had frog heads.

But that wasn't the weird thing.

At a certain moment, a rabbit was sitting on a stool in the middle of the room, with my family members gathered around it in reverential awe. When I asked them what was so special, the rabbit addressed me and said something. I was so astonished that I lost the ability to speak, which would always wake me up.

# I used to have dreams set in a maze. Thing was, I always knew my way through the maze.
Shame there was usually something trying to kill me, else they'd have been fun dreams.

# Lucid dreaming?
I've been trying to get it to work, but nothing yet. :(
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 20:21, archived)
# You need to apply something simple from the waking world into the dreaming world.
Every hour, on the hour, push against a wall and ask yourself "Am I dreaming?".
Might take a while, but sooner or later you'll try it in the dreamworld - with very different results.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 20:50, archived)
# I've actually recently started doing that.
I stuck a sign on the door that I push (probably not often enough).

I dreamt of my hand pushing it, which then turned into a paw. Yeah... a bit weird.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 20:54, archived)
# The first few times I realised I was doing it, I woke up shortly thereafter.
Kind of a 'whoa' moment.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:00, archived)
# Yeah, that's what happens most of the time with me.
I think I might have been very close to having a lucid dream, but lost my concentration before I could get any results.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:03, archived)
# I only ever dabbled at it in my twenties, but I probably got two half-decent lucid dreams out of it.
It may seem like a lot of effort for little return, but you'll never forget the clarity and sense of power they give you.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:13, archived)
# One of my friends lucid dreams, he says it's one of the best experiences you can have.
This, of course, is probably biased, but who knows.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:38, archived)
# I get them quite often,
but I never seem to have the same measure of control that I'd been led to expect.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:44, archived)
# In terms of feeling different, the most that's happened is that I felt like I sank through the bed, and through the floor.
Not quite flying, as many people claim to be able to do in lucid dreams, but I guess it's a start.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 23:22, archived)
# Sexy results?
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 20:54, archived)
# Indubitably.
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 20:56, archived)
# Try writing down your dreams in detail as soon as you wake up each morning
But beware that you never think you're dreaming when you're actually awake.........or you'll get arrested!
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:06, archived)
# I actually do keep a dream journal
which is unusually devoid of furry-related stuff. Huh...
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:35, archived)
# I did that for @ 8 months before I started lucid dreaming
Had to stop after a few weeks because I couldn't always be sure when I was awake, got a bit risky cos I used to drive a motorbike.
My dreams were always violent like modern-day FPS games
(, Mon 5 Mar 2012, 21:46, archived)
#
I did the thing where you write a reminder on your hand to test if you're in a dream. It worked well.
