# And we think we've got problems in the UK...
I watched Ides of March t'other night, which was based around the idea that a guy would win an election not because he was popular, but because he electorate didn't like his opponent.

I fear this could happen in the next election. Romney is clearly a basket case, and unpopular.
But there's a helluva lot of people who will vote for anyone except Obama

# Unsure whether this is an actual Chris Rock quote or not (some debate) but
"If you vote against Obama because he can't get stuff done, it's like saying, "this guy can't cure cancer. I'm gonna vote for cancer."

# strawmen arguments
are all that's left. That and racism. And sexism. And sexual preferenceism, oh, and ageism and classism. Those things are still left. Okay, forget I mentioned it, they've got plenty arguments left.

# Or you could just vote for the tallest candidate
In the last 100 years the tallest candidate has won 17 times, the shortest 6 times, 2 were a draw height wise.

Scott Adams was mapping a correlation between the winning candidate and the best hair, not sure how far he got with that.

# Hasn't that generally been happening in the UK for the last several elections?
It all seems to be about voting the other people OUT.

# This year's US election is like choosing between two bowls of shit.
There's about 90% who've got their minds made up - all the mud slinging and bullshit is over the other 10%.
