# You knitted it? It is hard to tell...did you knit each square and then sew them together?
If it is all wool it must be very heavy.
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:41, archived)
# yep, all done by hand
400 knitted squares altogether, sewn with cotton. i tried sewing with wool, but it comes undone. it is a bit heavy, but they're very warm in winter and, as they're natural materials, they breathe well
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:44, archived)
# I want one...
...which unfortunately will mean teaching myself how to knit, which will take about ten years.
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:55, archived)
# i'm planning to sell this one for 60 quid
it's never been used, i only spread it on the bed to show that it's double bed-sized.
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:57, archived)
# That is absolutely smashing
And matches well with this t-shirt I have. Even the colours are the same.
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:48, archived)
# colour matching is a bitch
but i got lucky with the green in wilkinson's. the space invader one was a nightmare, acid green wool is not easy to find!
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:51, archived)
# Smashing job.....
You must have arms like the hulk and the longest kniting needles in the world to be able to make these :-)
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:55, archived)
# 15x15 stitch squares are pretty small
i'd never do one all in one piece!
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 14:58, archived)
# How many squres by how many if they're all the same size I might have a go at designing a couple,
how about a smart phone one...
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:02, archived)
# it depends
20x20 stitch squares, 15x15 in size makes a blanket that's double-sized. 15x15 squares, you need 20x20 to do the same
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:08, archived)
# I might have a go.........
What's the blue tubular thing between the head of the bad and the draws, and what's the green painted grooved thing next the the draws?
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:13, archived)
# the tubular thing is a bed bar
as my back sometimes locks in place when i'm asleep. the green thing is a watering can.
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:17, archived)
# o_O
I want a fucking bed bar! how to avoid that drunken stagger from the living room :-)
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:23, archived)
# it was either that
or 20 minutes of Upturned Turtle every time i roll onto my back in my sleep
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:29, archived)
# Ouch :-(
Do you use your watering can to drink you strongbow Spanish stlye!
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:35, archived)
# nah
i had radishes growing in pots right outside the bedroom window, so it was easier for me to just open the window and water them. also good for waking up men who've overstayed their welcome.
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:38, archived)
# Haha....
If woman asked me if I wanted her to shove a watering can up my arse I'd be well up for it :-)

Worth a lot more than £60, I’d say? Contact Nintendo and tell them you've made an exclusive range of luxury cotton Nintendo duvet covers and want to offer first sales to their Staff as a sign of appreciation to their work, from a super fan? Or join their Facebook page and stick up a couple of pics?
(, Fri 26 Jul 2013, 15:04, archived)
# good idea, providing i don't get copyrighted right up the chuff
the money isn't really important, i do them because i like doing them. not really commercially viable, due to the time they take to make

That's fantastic!
I'm married to a quilter, and I've been trying for years to get her to do a Space Invaders pixel throw for our bed with no success!
I might do the arty work and design it and cut the squares and get her to do the easy bit of sewing them together, backing it, wadding it, stitching it all together and then hand-quilting a superkingsize throw!!
