You knitted it? It is hard to tell...did you knit each square and then sew them together?
If it is all wool it must be very heavy.

yep, all done by hand
400 knitted squares altogether, sewn with cotton. i tried sewing with wool, but it comes undone. it is a bit heavy, but they're very warm in winter and, as they're natural materials, they breathe well

I want one...
...which unfortunately will mean teaching myself how to knit, which will take about ten years.

i'm planning to sell this one for 60 quid
it's never been used, i only spread it on the bed to show that it's double bed-sized.

That is absolutely smashing
And matches well with this t-shirt I have. Even the colours are the same.

colour matching is a bitch
but i got lucky with the green in wilkinson's. the space invader one was a nightmare, acid green wool is not easy to find!

Smashing job.....
You must have arms like the hulk and the longest kniting needles in the world to be able to make these :-)

15x15 stitch squares are pretty small
i'd never do one all in one piece!

How many squres by how many if they're all the same size I might have a go at designing a couple,
how about a smart phone one...

it depends
20x20 stitch squares, 15x15 in size makes a blanket that's double-sized. 15x15 squares, you need 20x20 to do the same

I might have a go.........
What's the blue tubular thing between the head of the bad and the draws, and what's the green painted grooved thing next the the draws?

the tubular thing is a bed bar
as my back sometimes locks in place when i'm asleep. the green thing is a watering can.

i had radishes growing in pots right outside the bedroom window, so it was easier for me to just open the window and water them. also good for waking up men who've overstayed their welcome.

EPIC work
Worth a lot more than £60, I’d say? Contact Nintendo and tell them you've made an exclusive range of luxury cotton Nintendo duvet covers and want to offer first sales to their Staff as a sign of appreciation to their work, from a super fan? Or join their Facebook page and stick up a couple of pics?
That's fantastic! I'm married to a quilter, and I've been trying for years to get her to do a Space Invaders pixel throw for our bed with no success! I might do the arty work and design it and cut the squares and get her to do the easy bit of sewing them together, backing it, wadding it, stitching it all together and then hand-quilting a superkingsize throw!!
