# Jamaica?
, Sun 18 Jan 2004, 23:59,
# the less time and effort you
put into making a picture, the more likely it is to find it's way onto the frontpage. the picture that you spend hours and hours on will be largely ignored.
, Sun 18 Jan 2004, 23:58,
# i noticed that too
, Sun 18 Jan 2004, 23:59,
# Ah yes.
I remember now. Ta for memorising my jogging.

# yes that's more or less the bones of it.
look a bone... want it? a nice juicy bone? here ya go... here... come one.... there... go get it!

Now, erm yes. Fnord's Law is a way of explaining that taking hours crafting an image may not get much of a response (not just a front page but lots of woo's in general) because people probably won't know you took so long on getting a fiddly detail right or something).
Whereas if the joke or idea is so good that it just takes a small amount of cobbling together and a few minutes work then the idea is probably good enough to be simple and easy to get and find amusing and more people will 'get it'.
You may not think it's the funniest thing in the world but if you haven't spent long on it you probably haven't changed it much and it's that slightly askew version of the world that b3tans love so much :)

or something... been ages since i actually tried explaining it.
