[challenge entry] Bindun?
Maybe. 2000 years ago. Quick dirty and as rough as as a badger's arse.

Edit: You wanted snakes and rightly so. Here's a more complete version. Sorry about the file size. Just glad I could get it in under 200K. Still a newbie I'm afraid...
