if you don't have broadband, you must have too much time on your hands to be on the message board,
either way you get no sympathy from me

And no choice of ISP.
Not everone is as lucky as you but most don't feel the faq should be ignored because they don't agree with it.

png format is not appropriate for this kind of image. A jpeg would have worked much better.

However, a woo and a Welcome! await the poster, should they decide to edit their post with an image with a file size of a more reasonable nature.

with this endorsement of an agreement with this statement.

that this concurment is in violation of district code 9.16.5.7.2 (paragraph [c]) and therefore must close down this argument for fear of dangerous chevrons appearing

Imagine getting in a fight and producing a massive bitmap to do some whacking!

You could probably launch it from some weapon though. That'd shut someone up. Bitmap style.

Though what if it was pocketable like a small avatar, but extremely sturdy like a windows background? It would be like throwing a ball bearing! A fucking 3 meg ball bearing raining down on someone's head! But with a picture of something on it. And 2 dimensional.

Then activate it from a great height above someone's head.

I'd like to think that one day there'd be a b3ta zoo.
Though something tells me that would be called "Teh B3ta asylum for the graphically insane"

*zapped*

You're not wrong. Odd hosting - it slightly shrunk the pixel size of the animation and more than doubled the filesize. I've now zapped it.

it's just a little large.
If you click "switch to image mode" when you next post a new image you can upload the image to b3ta's server and your picture will automatically be thumbnailed if it's too big.
However, I'd suggest you have a look at this handy optimisation tutorial too...

Its just that the file size is too big.
Read the FAQ and read the B3TA board for a few weeks before you post.
You are very welcome here anyhow!

there is an FAQ that should help you to understand filesize. You shouldnt have anything over 250kb. In fact the smaller the better. Not sure what software you are using but you should have saved it as a jpg as the file should compress a lot better than png.
May be worth editing your post and replacing it with a smaller file as Im getting a bit scared by the angry people around here. Best not to bait them ;)

So long as an image is suitably optimised it's fine. Most of the time that means it's under 50kb.
