# OK. I have been loathe to
beg for teaching but what have you learned that allows you to suddenly make your frame transitions give very smooth animation? I know you always did it with the 3d stuff but now you make your tattyshop anims really have high quality movement without lots of KB sucking frames. Teach me Obi Wan.

# ^ was about to ask the same thing
(, Wed 19 Sep 2007, 22:49, archived)
# it's very minor movement so you can have lots of frames
there are about 69 in this.
More fps equals smoothness.
(, Wed 19 Sep 2007, 22:50, archived)
# hmm, but in my world
more fps means the need for more optimisation which means anims that give you the feeling of having cateracts for free. I shall have to pump you more on this subject ;)
(, Wed 19 Sep 2007, 22:52, archived)
# it's the minor movement.
not that many pixels are changing per frame, so you can have more frames.
A gif can have thousands of frames if they are identical, and still be under budget.

# did you make the anim partly in 3DSMax again?
(I mean on the kid)
