Your stuff is great, but you really can't get away with posting images over 250k except for exceptional circumstances
Edit: If you really can't get the file down to size then people usually post a still image or lower quality version and link to the full one in their post, same as you did with your video yesterday

Its a Squidghost cutting his seed from the belly of a dog. Exceptional.
By the way, you have no idea how long it took me to get this down to 350. Below 250 would require godlike GIF skills im sure.

I like it lots
Edit: Ooh, just spotted the full version. Yum
Edit2: Yeah, I know, been there myself. But you have an ace version linked anyway, so it's only really needing enough to get people interested in clicking to see more

262kb in 30 seconds. However it is quite a bit lossy and would need a bit of fiddling to get it good for board.

Could you not add scan lines?

yeah i did a version with scanlines, and it did nothing for the filesize. My desktop is filled with versions of this GIF, after trying just about everything to get it down from the original 1.1mb. This si the smallest i could get it without mounting it on a pinhead.

Did you try reducing the colours?

Scanlining should do the trick from here I'd say.
If you do it right it will always bring the size down.
I know what you mean though optimisation is a bitch.
I would have just linked it.

That one small scene took me 3 days! Yeah well i have to do a 3 minute one for my degree so hopefully it will be a three minute epic. Im working on trying to do it in live action with CGI at the mo though, so it may be ditcehd entirely.

How do i embed the YuTube vid in the links post? Just put the URL in the url box, or use embed code? Id prefer to use Myspace video because its better res.Instructionals?
