vice city was of course better though.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:28, archived)
# want to play a much more exciting version?
play Multi Theft Auto online - its much more fun!
woo!
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:28, archived)
# I keep meaning to try that again.
I tried the Vice City version when it first came out but it wasn't much good.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:29, archived)
# how can i do such a thing?
/can't be arsed to look it up
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:29, archived)
# erm...
i forgotten :(
but i did download "REAL GTA" - which gives you real cars and shops which is most fun :D
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:31, archived)
# aw, but i love the brands in GTASA
'Pro Laps' being my favourite
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:33, archived)
# oh sorry
that was for vice city!
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:37, archived)
# nah, loved it myself, still can't get enough.
true it had some problems that VC didn't but the hugeness and the new additions were enough to win it the title of "my favouritest rockstar title to date"

fuckin woo to these reviews tho, i love 'em!
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:28, archived)
# music is awful tho.
i miss the humour of vice city radio.

# 10 cheat to give everyone weapons and attack each other
and play zombie holocaust/28 days later style games of your own devising

# Hehe

# haha san andreas was ace...but the car thing did bug me:)

can't wait for the new one
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:34, archived)
# Not sure I like the look of the new one.
Looks like they’ve sucked all the charm out of it.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:40, archived)
# Aaahhh...Vice City...
There are few if any gaming experiences which compare to that of cruising down the seafront at sunset, with a bit of Jan Hammer on the radio, drive by-ing some hapless fool that just happened to be passing.

*wipes wistful tear from eye*
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:35, archived)
# I liked Vice City Stories too.
It wasn't as good but at least you got to murder Phil Collins.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:45, archived)
# Favourite VC touches:
the TW@ cyber cafe
the 'Brown Thunder' cop missions in the helicopter gunship.

just in case anyone gives a shit ;p

# Last frame... deffo
couldn't get on with San Andreas
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:36, archived)
# I gave up at the gang missions near the end
Sweet kept getting himself run over for no apparent reason.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:43, archived)
# I put the pad down at about that point too.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:45, archived)
# It was the fecking burning building mission that did for me...
Incessant toggling between guns and fire extinguishers. Kept hosing baddies with CO2 while they were emptying clip after clip into me.

...and I could never get the hang of the firetruck missions to get fireproof...
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:46, archived)
# i don't remember having trouble with that
but actually throwing the bombs through the windows beforehand seemed almost impossible for me.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:49, archived)
# I still prefer the original.
Oh well.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:44, archived)
# GTA1 and GTA3 are the best ones

# gta 2 did suck,
but had nice artwork. never been a huge fan of the bad cartoon caricature style
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:48, archived)
# That's when they introduced the whole
faction balancing thing, which took all the fun out of it as far as I was concerned.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:52, archived)
# interesting concept, but yes, it did suck
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:55, archived)
# what? GTA 1 on the amiga?
tho that was fun :)
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:46, archived)
# Well, GTA1 on the PC at least.
I rented Vice City Stories:

Me: Throw a grenade over there.
Controls: lol, no.
Me: *ejects disc*
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:50, archived)
#
/never uses grenades in games. not worth the self inflicted 3rd degree burns
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:53, archived)
# Oh, a well cooked grenade is a beautiful thing in CoD :)
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:55, archived)
# It wasn't on the amiga
there was a gta inspired game called payback though.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:54, archived)
# wasn't it?
my bad. i thought it was. i played it on peecee
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 17:01, archived)
# I think it was meant to be originally
but it was pc + playstation. and gameboy colour, oddly.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 17:04, archived)
# There's definitely some humour from that
which should be put back in. Like where you run over the line of hare Krishnas or murder enough people or police and it flashes up "COP KILLER!" or "GENOCIDE" on the screen.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:47, archived)
# GOURANGA!

Gratuitous violence bonus in one of the missions was the best one.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:50, archived)
# You're right on about the music, I like Vice City better, I'm not into that gangster junk.
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:51, archived)
# This is the first of these that's for a game I've played
and it's very good!
(, Thu 13 Dec 2007, 16:55, archived)
# hahah i love this
panel 6 made me do a genuine lol
