What may help a bit is if you try installing System Mechanic (not the pro as that has AV and firewall)
from www.iolo.com and run a full optimisation after a deep analysis. then you'll have the computer and the internet working at it's very best with in the constrainst of your machine and netrate. I really love that software. I've actually paid for the full version!
