[challenge entry] I call this piece "WHY GEOCITIES, LYCOS.COM, YAHOO, AND TRIPOD SUCK FOR NOT LETTING ME DISPLAY THE IMAGES STORED ON THEIR SERVER ! ! !"

this piece represents why geocities, tripod, yahoo, and Lycos all suck for not letting me display my images from their server. The friendly colorful logos represent the deceptive promises these companies use to entice you into giving them your e-mail address so they can send you porn. the error messages represent the breaking of these promises, the robot represents the dependence of our society on technology, and the big red X represents dolphins!

Because the most important event that has happened in my lonely existence since April 19th, the one BIG thing that has managed to keep me cheery all week, isn't going to happen.
Despite doing a boot fair last monday to raise the cash, having a sheet of stickers ready, getting a new battery for the car (ta dad!) and organising a baby-sitter well in advance,
WE CAN'T FUCKING COME!
triple bollocks with knobs on, on a stick.
Our babysitters are going to another party, and only saw fit to let us know an hour or so ago. cunts. We've rung round, but it's too short notice.

[challenge entry] I call this pice "Circular Chaos"

This piece is an expression of the circularity of the cycles of life and death, which create a darkened black mass in an otherwise perfect universe. Ironically the seemingly chaotic distortion takes the form of a perfect circle. The smaller dot represents inadequacies of the human condition, the fragility of life, and dolphins.

# I actually thought that was the joke
Does this make me very clever or very stupid?

Or just very ugly?
(, Sat 8 Jun 2002, 16:56, archived)
# that's what i thought
if the purpose of art is to stimulate the mind, then something just happened that was art, for my mind is stimulated. but if it was not the artist's intention to produce that image, but the image was a by-product of another, greater creation, then should we credit the artist for the piece? furthermore, should this credit now be bestowed upon whoever designed that tripod logo? the logo on its own was not what caused the stimulation. etc.

(god i can type fast when i'm bulshitting)
