This is a link post I, Daniel Blake
Not watched it yet but it seems to be working OK. Link to stream the movie. Go to a cinema, buy it etc. if you can, streaming and sharing will help this 'work if fiction' to be seen by more.

Dunno if it's NSFW, definitely NFFW.

This is a normal post That's on my list of films I want to see
but I'm not sure when I'm going to get round to it. It's not exactly striking me as a good Friday night film.

It's much funnier than you expect. And not 'ha ha laugh at the poor' funny, it's a great film.

This is a normal post It's the most sentimentally cloying portrayl of a bunch of "worthy" unemployed f*ckwits you'll see.
The plot as it is centre's around:
1. Single idiot mum who is too stupid to do anything except get lost and preggers and for some reason is resentful of the fact she's getting a free house and can't be bothered to getplaces on time.
2. Unemployed "heart of gold" labourer, who is a bit too ill to do manual labour anymore, but cannot be be bothered to learn ANYTHING at all to change to a desk job.
They proceed to help each other out.
There is a comedy bar brawl in a food handout centre.

I came out of the cinema feeling that even the worst of the Tory policies were too good for these lazy stereotypes.

Just avoid unless you know all the words to the Internationale or think that Jeremy Corbyn is who should be running the country.

This is a normal post I was made redundant last week
And now I'm claiming benefits.

I don't want to be in this situation. I have interview this afternoon so hopefully things work out but for now I'm glad I can get a bit of support even if it is a small amount

This is a normal post I love the fact we have a social support system in the UK
That and the NHS shows that we're a caring society.

However films like this somehow suggest that people who won't help themselves are somehow being horrifically treated when actually they are being supported.

Good luck with the job search, you'll be alright!

I can only assume your job doesn't involve writing English to any recogniseable standard.

This is a normal post You're correct and well done for pointing it out
Still doesn't change my point which is that Ken Loach is held up as some kind of icon for the oppressed masses when actually he just does rose tinged variants on the theme "It's grim up North".

Welfare cheats, rare.
Tax dodging, norm.
(, Mon 20 Feb 2017, 11:25, , Reply)
This is a normal post It's not about welfare cheats
It's a film about people complaining that welfare is a bit tough, whilst not working and getting welfare.
