In the same way its fine for Terry to park in disabled parking spaces, illegally sell his England captain perks to businessmen, offer illegal tours around the Chelsea training facilities to rich people, shag his mates missus and force her to have an abortion, undermine a succession of managers at club and international level .. you know all those things you can only do if you're him. Oh and his mum is a thief and his dad is a drug dealer. What does he actually have to do to actually get punished for anything?

He sounds like a really dodgy twat.

Edit: I forgotten him abusing americans watching 9-11 unfold and then 'exposing' himself at them.

And another reason why I hate fucking cunting football. Cunts.

If you believe his defence, the exchange was more like:
Anton Ferdinand: 'What? did you call me a black cunt?'
Terry: 'Fuck Off! 'Black Cunt'?'
Which is him repeating what Ferdinand said incredulously.
Not sure I quite buy it myself, mind...

Were any of the lawyers savvy enough to ask him what he'd said? I'd love to know his reply.

By all means, his club should sack him / dock his wages / send him on equality training. His sponsors may want to think twice about renewing their contracts too, but unless he's threatened violence or committed a sustained campaign of harassment he shouldn't be in court for something he's said.

The £2,500 possible maximum fine would have destroyed him, as he only earns ~8.5 million / year.
I am a very happy tax payer knowing that once again I have helped alleviate the financial burdens of the near destitute barristers, judges and ancillary staff involved in this case. I don't think ~£2m is enough really, after all the case took almost a full working week.
I shall be asking my MP to raise a question in the house of commons to ask that, in future, only the most senior of QC's can be involved in disputes of this magnitude. Also it is of national importance that we set up a government body to oversea the lip reading of all arguments between emotionally under developed sportsmen.
We need to find out once and for all if people mean what they say; if they do and they say a mean thing, they should be liable for a fine! But above all we should all share the cost of determining this professionally and in a none sensational way. How else are we going to divert money away from the real issues in the UK which might not benefit the wealthy elite?
Edit: I have just skimmed the wasted week and it was never even questioned that the 'slur' was inaccurate. Therefore Anton Ferdinand is 1) black and 2) a cunt. Nor was the question raised as to whether him being black was the (sole) reason for him being a cunt. Therefore it must be assumed that all involved believed that him being black contributes to him being a cunt. I can't see a defining moment where is was questioned if John Terry thought him to be black, a cunt or indeed a cunt solely because he was black. So surely, with this omission in the entire proceedings the outcome is utterly moot, whichever way it would have gone. We have learned that somebody said something which could have been interpreted by somebody as meaning something. As it turns out a Premier League footballer said nothing worthwhile. Shocking.

it is perfectly OK to call somebody a fucking black cunt, if they are black and acting like a fucking cunt. The trouble is racist people call people fucking cunts just because they are black - a subtle difference. Calling someone a fucking cunt just because they are black is against the law.

he'll have you know, some of his best friends are fucking black cunts.
