When The Strangers came out, the producers said it wasn't a remake of Ils (them) it just happened to be based on the same story.

And since Let the Right One In is based on a book, they could say the same here

C) How many have seen the orignal?
D) Subtract C) from B)
E) How many (at a minimum) are needed to go see it, in terms of theatre release and dvd sales for it to be profitable?
F) The Number of people from D) that will pay to see the film.

Is F) >= E) [ie if the number of people who will pay to see it is greater than or equal to the number of people needed to see it for the film to be profitable ] then make the film.

So, can you see now, how it has nothing to do with the reading of subtitles and that you are a racist no brained vapid cunt with nothing to say?

You'll find that it was very very low, because the American moviegoing public don't go to see films with subtitles.
