is fairly pissed at them doing a remake so close time-wise to his version.

makes me less furious about this remake - she's ace :)

They only just released an excellent version!!!
Edit: Cos the yanks can't fucking read, that's why. Bar-stewards.

cos they're a bit thick
At least they are being upfront about it being a remake
When The Strangers came out, the producers said it wasn't a remake of Ils (them) it just happened to be based on the same story.
And since Let the Right One In is based on a book, they could say the same here

2. Money.
Why does the morse at the end say 'helpg'. Am I translating it incorrectly?

Almost as soon as it was released, the merkins decided to make a shot by shot (and shitter) remake called Quarantine.
:(
The spanish film is good though :)

and another one of his called "handeling undead" or something.
I'm not sure if it has been released outside of sweden yet, but check it out if it ever gets translated.

The only reason they're made is because Americans can't/are too lazy to read subtitles.
End of discussion.

B) How many are of movie watching / cinema going age and inclination?
C) How many have seen the orignal?
D) Subtract C) from B)
E) How many (at a minimum) are needed to go see it, in terms of theatre release and dvd sales for it to be profitable?
F) The Number of people from D) that will pay to see the film.
Is F) >= E) [ie if the number of people who will pay to see it is greater than or equal to the number of people needed to see it for the film to be profitable ] then make the film.
So, can you see now, how it has nothing to do with the reading of subtitles and that you are a racist no brained vapid cunt with nothing to say?
[Edit: and the same goes for any other cunt willing to make the same type of claim ].

You missed out B.5) How wide a release did the original see in the US?
You'll find that it was very very low, because the American moviegoing public don't go to see films with subtitles.
( , Thu 1 Jul 2010, 22:48, Reply)

And how many people actually went to see it?
And what does that say about us?
The good doctor has a point, and you're an arrogant bastard if you think your argument only applies to the Americans
( , Thu 1 Jul 2010, 23:59, Reply)

Also, B.5) is implicit in C) and doesn't effect the logic.
...if you wish to try and defend your racist views,
that's ok. But the burden of proof is on you.

It looks like Hollywood has enshittified it.
(Do they really need so much noise?)

It has to be one of my favorite films for years. I bloody loved it. It pisses my mind right off when they do remakes for language reason. How fricking rude.
