This is a question Hypocrisy

Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

i would have got away with it too
if it wasn't for those pesky tarians

Now they are twats
When I get asked if I eat fish I reply; 'are fish a vegetable?'.

Just because it isn't fluffy doesn't means it's not alive.

Plants aren't alive?

My mum's old boss
Was apparently a vegetarian 'except for minced beef'.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2009, 17:19, closed)
This pisses me off...
...and I eat meat!

My girlfriend is a veggie, and when some people find out, they reply "so you don't eat any meat?" No. You fucking retard. Otherwise she wouldn't be a vegetarian.

And then you get
'do you eat eggs / milk / cheese?'

Yes, I am not a vegan. Am I going to have to explain the reproductive cycle of the chicken to get you to understand that the egg you buy from the supermarket was never going to be a chicken?

Unless
it's a potato cod.

*Is guilty*
I didn't eat fish for years when I first became a vegetarian but after much sole searching, (do ya get it), and weighing up the fact that fish is very good for you I succumbed to a tuna sandwich one day. I just find it incredibly difficult to empathize with a fish.

Sorry!

same here
I eat fish now so, obviously, don't consider myself a vegetarian anymore. What's with the obsession with names?
(, Thu 19 Feb 2009, 19:32, closed)
A member of my family does this
I don't mind that she is deluding herself that she's vegetarian, but she thinks nobody has noticed that salmon steaks don't contain cellulose...

Surely
by definition they're not vegetarians. I don't eat red meat but I eat poultry and fish. When people find out they say: "oh, you're a vegetarian who eats poultry and fish eh?". "No," I reply, "I'm a non-vegetarian who doesn't eat red meat, you jizz muncher".
(, Thu 19 Feb 2009, 19:03, closed)
Ah yes
I've heard if these

fishandchipocrits is what they are called

^ Hehehehe!
Also, to Mrs Liveinabin, I will have to steal this reply and use it myself. Excellent.

My little brother
Is a vegetarian, except for McDonalds food. Which is probably not meat so I guess he has a valid point.

There are also vegetarians who eat chicken
Pollotarians

Feed them all
to sharks. That would be fair.

*raises his hand*

The only meat of any kind, fish or otherwise, I have eating in the past four years was some pheasant at Christmas, to keep my mother happy (made cooking dinner a little less complicated for her).

I wear leather, though. Just because I don't want to *eat* the animals doesn't mean I flatly refuse to use them for anything...I'd have a difficult time finding medication when I get sick, otherwise.
