This is a question Hypocrisy

Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

Anyone
who is morbidly obese who orders a big-mac-whopper-family-bucket meal with a diet drink.

JUST FUCKING UNDERSTAND THAT SLURPING ONE DIET DRINK PAST YOUR FLABBY, SWEAT-BEADED FUCKING LIPS IS NOT GOING TO MAKE UP FOR THE VAST QUANTITIES OF FAT AND SUGAR IN THE SO-CALLED FUCKING FOOD!!!

*ahem*

Just have a normal full-leaded drink. You're a fat fucker, be proud of it.

Exactly....
....I think!

Also fat people who claim "its glandular". Well, that may be, but only if Glandular is a brand of cream cakes.

have a click!

Feck off.

Diet
Tastes so much better. The crisp chemical tang!

*ambles off to the can machine for a frosty can of diet*

I drink diet coke
I am a pube headed fat lad, but the sugar content of normal coke on my stomach doesnt bother me

However I simply cannot stand the pure sugar lava assault on my teeth that is full fat coke. If I have a toothbrush/toothpaste nearby then I will drink normal coke though.
(, Mon 23 Feb 2009, 14:12, closed)
a thousand times this ^^
but without the whole pubehead thing

But, dear SH, isn't that a bit like saying...
..if you're going to take two paracetamol for a headache (just enough for your needs, like the energy content of the food), you might as well take a couple more (representing the un-neccesary empty calories of the drink)?

After all, at least the sugars in the food are generally bound as carbohydrates, minimising their dental impact and delaying their rush into your bloodstream. Sugar in drinks takes the express route, and does more harm in terms of weight gain. And the day they start selling low-calorie food is they day they can start ordering low-calorie food, and cease offending you with theirself-control.

!!
diet coke has a chemical kick that you don't find in fat coke.
(, Mon 23 Feb 2009, 14:24, closed)
I generally buy a McChicken Sandwich meal and a diet coke
Diet coke just tastes nicer and doesn't leave my teeth feeling so blurgh
(, Mon 23 Feb 2009, 14:25, closed)
Same
Last time I drank coke my teeth actually felt grimy. :(((
(, Mon 23 Feb 2009, 14:54, closed)
There is a difference!
Well, in the states, regular coke is made with high fructose corn syrup. I drink regular coke if it's made with sugar, but much prefer diet or zero to HFCS coke because it doesn't leave my throat full of cack afterwards.
(, Mon 23 Feb 2009, 14:53, closed)
But it's genetic.
I have a genetic predisposition to stuffing my face with pie.
(, Mon 23 Feb 2009, 16:05, closed)
I've used that one before
"It's a genetic condition"
"whuh?"
"Well, my dad was a fat bastard, and HIS dad was a fat bastard- clearly I was always going to end up a fat bastard too. As Dad always said, why delay it by eating healthily?"
(, Mon 23 Feb 2009, 16:23, closed)
Well, actually my dentist said to me
"If you're going to eat and drink crap, can you at least switch to sugar-free fizzy drinks? Your teeth will be at least partially thankful."

As a result I am able to have a quarterpounder with cheese, large fries, and a diet Coke without any irony at all.

EDIT: I'm not a fat cunt neither. Honest.

What gets me
is the people who have half diet and half normal. My friend used to work at Gatwick McDonalds, and he said this was what the fat Americans always got.
(, Wed 25 Feb 2009, 15:58, closed)
That is interesting.
Could it have been something to do with a taste difference, between 'our' version and 'theirs'? (As I understand, soda formulation can vary. Apparently, "fountain" diet coke tastes different from "bottled" diet coke, due to different sweeteners used.)
