Let's annoy the miserable old cunts that frequent here and talk about plans for the weekend! Also any nommy breakfast you may have had
I'm going home to see Mummybadger and get to have a massive roast dinner on Sunday (which won't be as good as the one Clendrix cooked me last week OBVIOUSLY).
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 7:59, 128 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
was a piece of ginger cake and some hot lemon squash.
And I'm going home this weekend. There will be food, and a widescreen to watch DVDs on and a double bed.
How's you?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:03, Reply)
My friend always did that with Jamaican Ginger Cake. I personally felt it was a tad gluttonous
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:07, Reply)
I put butter on malt loaf but not ginger cake. How're you Al?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:09, Reply)
And I've not managed to et started on the report I wanted to finish by 9.
But I've done my timesheet and my progress sheet, which is good.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:10, Reply)
which is why I haven't moved from my chair yet. A long day ahead then?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:15, Reply)
so I thought I'd get an early start and get some work done before the inevitable distractions.
Plus I'm going to head over to the shops later to buy some boxing pads.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:17, Reply)
so it seemed prudent to be prepared in some small way.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:25, Reply)
No, I finally hung my punchbag up in my parents garage so I can practice on it when I'm down there, but me and the wife are going to do some training with pads as she enjoys hitting me.
But enough about me, how are things with you?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:27, Reply)
I'm okay thanks. Wishing I had another year on my course though.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:29, Reply)
Do you have exams or just a big project?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:31, Reply)
7 or 8 three hour exams and I'm done. I reckon I'll get a 2.ii
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:36, Reply)
Well, I have to say, in this economic climate I don't hold out a lot of hope for your job prospects.
But that's okay, because any minute now the economy will start booming again thanks to all the fiscal stimulus the government is providing.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:38, Reply)
not that it'll make a difference. And I'll work something out, I generally do.

Sadly the one person I really wanted to be there won't be as they said they have to go home or some such rubbish. But my BFF will be there so that will salvage the evening. And I get to see Gonz as well.

OM NOM NOM I said, as I made my plans for the weekend.
Tonight I'm watching all 158 series of Red Dwarf BACK TO BACK with some of my 'm8s' from the LARPing scene. Tomorrow I'll be doing the usual, dressing up as a zombie and reading a little light Pratchett whilst the emotive strains of Iron Maiden lilt through the air.
On Sunday I will be killing myself as a favour to society.

I know you find the waki students irritating but on the whole are you having a rewarding time?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:24, Reply)
Really interesting, good challenging work for my brain, not dull. Lots of work too, which keeps me busy, which I like.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:26, Reply)
I did not make the most of my university days, and rather regret it.

or any form of student union. Though once at college I went to Bournemouth for an NUS training course, despite not being on my college NUS council. I drank a lot of whiskey and had a clumsy fumble with a girl from Exmouth.

after this year I'm done with academics, I meant more if I knew what I know now at the beginning I'd have done stuff differently. Number one being I'd have refused to eat that cream tea at the Buttery.

the cream was off, and that gave me the infection that led to a year off uni mostly spent in hospital.

Oddly enough they refurbished completely though a couple of weeks into term which makes me think there was something strange about the place.

I have a stiff and very sore neck. I shall probably spend most of the weekend in bed being miserable. I got a lovely message from a guy on the dating site last night but he's too short and he looks like Rod Hull.
If Aber appears and tells me I'm being too fussy I shall shun her........in Spanish.

I'm planning to stay in tonight, but it's likely I'll go out, as a superb local band are playing in the pub. Tomorrow the football is on, so I'll watch that.
Then on Sunday I'm being a massive geek, and heading to the pub at about midnight, in order to watch Wrestlemania and get pissed until about 5am.
All in all, not a bad weekend, I feel.

Annoyingly the kids decided to sleep in on a Friday, meaning running round like a blue arsed fly this morning. As a result I had to drive in. This has cheered my mood considerably as I was accompanied by the strains of the soundtrack to Judgement Night at exceedingly loud noise levels.
One cup of coffee and a pastie forfeit later, breakfast is done!
I'm off to the pub at lunchtime to see a mate I've not seen for a while and may well be pubbing tomorrow for food.
All in all, good!
