Woo it's Friday!
Let's annoy the miserable old cunts that frequent here and talk about plans for the weekend! Also any nommy breakfast you may have had

I'm going home to see Mummybadger and get to have a massive roast dinner on Sunday (which won't be as good as the one Clendrix cooked me last week OBVIOUSLY).
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 7:59, 128 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
My nommy breakfast
was a piece of ginger cake and some hot lemon squash.

And I'm going home this weekend. There will be food, and a widescreen to watch DVDs on and a double bed.

How's you?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:03, Reply)
Do you put butter on your ginger cake?
My friend always did that with Jamaican Ginger Cake. I personally felt it was a tad gluttonous
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:07, Reply)
The idea had never occured to me
I put butter on malt loaf but not ginger cake. How're you Al?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:09, Reply)
I've been in work for 40 minutes already.
And I've not managed to et started on the report I wanted to finish by 9.

But I've done my timesheet and my progress sheet, which is good.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:10, Reply)
Making a start is good
which is why I haven't moved from my chair yet. A long day ahead then?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:15, Reply)
Not especially, but I had to move the van from in front of the house by 7
so I thought I'd get an early start and get some work done before the inevitable distractions.

Plus I'm going to head over to the shops later to buy some boxing pads.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:17, Reply)
Are you taking lessons in it?

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:22, Reply)
He keeps getting punched by random strangers
so it seemed prudent to be prepared in some small way.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:25, Reply)

No, I finally hung my punchbag up in my parents garage so I can practice on it when I'm down there, but me and the wife are going to do some training with pads as she enjoys hitting me.

But enough about me, how are things with you?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:27, Reply)
I'm sure she won't accidentally miss the pads much
I'm okay thanks. Wishing I had another year on my course though.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:29, Reply)
Is this your final year then?
Do you have exams or just a big project?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:31, Reply)
Exams
7 or 8 three hour exams and I'm done. I reckon I'll get a 2.ii
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:36, Reply)
A desmond in classics.
Well, I have to say, in this economic climate I don't hold out a lot of hope for your job prospects.

But that's okay, because any minute now the economy will start booming again thanks to all the fiscal stimulus the government is providing.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:38, Reply)
I do history not classics
not that it'll make a difference. And I'll work something out, I generally do.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:39, Reply)
Sorry, I'm confusing you with Lampito
It's the breasts, I just get distracted by the breasts.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:40, Reply)
Hey! I did alright with a Classical Civilisation 2.ii!
Hang on...
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:40, Reply)
Well, I bet Amberl can't wait to get stuck into loads of Massive Drugs
before squeezing out a bastard child that she then won't get to see as often as she wants.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:41, Reply)
I had been considering my path
but now it is clear what I'm going to be doing *snorts some cocaine*
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:47, Reply)
That's what I got.
For I was, and am, a lazy shit.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:39, Reply)
Also me
The 2.i was the Thinking Man's Degree, the 2.ii the Drinking Man's Degree.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 9:16, Reply)
I'm going to get my birthday present with the wife
then it'll be clearing the spare room ready for sanding and painting, then it will be SU-SU-SU-SU-SU-SUSHISATURDAY!!!!!!!

Sadly the one person I really wanted to be there won't be as they said they have to go home or some such rubbish. But my BFF will be there so that will salvage the evening. And I get to see Gonz as well.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:08, Reply)
I'm sorry I couldn't make it :(
I hope time heals the wound

knows you meant TGB
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:10, Reply)
Oh it would have been great if you had come too
but I knew from the start that you weren't going to be there, and I was hoping to make up for missing TGB's birthday bash.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:13, Reply)
That reminds me
I need to remember to bring her present down, next time I'm in London.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:16, Reply)

Woo present! Sorry al we can go for a drink in the week if you want
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:37, Reply)
Well
I should see you there too.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 9:09, Reply)
I had just a low fat yoghurt for breakfast
because as soon as I get to work I shall be ordering a sausage, black pudding and egg butty. Woo!

My weekend plans include GOING TO A FOOTBALL MATCH YEAH I WENT THERE (well, AM GOING THERE) SO NURR.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:08, Reply)
I just nommed on down on a nomalicious bacon sammidge.
OM NOM NOM I said, as I made my plans for the weekend.

Tonight I'm watching all 158 series of Red Dwarf BACK TO BACK with some of my 'm8s' from the LARPing scene. Tomorrow I'll be doing the usual, dressing up as a zombie and reading a little light Pratchett whilst the emotive strains of Iron Maiden lilt through the air.

On Sunday I will be killing myself as a favour to society.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:19, Reply)
can't wait for sunday.
*starts counting down*
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:21, Reply)
Why, what are you doing?

Oh.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:22, Reply)
You're going to KFC

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:22, Reply)

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:23, Reply)
I'm going back to uni. That's what.

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:23, Reply)
Are you enjoying the classes?
I know you find the waki students irritating but on the whole are you having a rewarding time?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:24, Reply)
yeah the classes are great.
Really interesting, good challenging work for my brain, not dull. Lots of work too, which keeps me busy, which I like.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:26, Reply)
Excellent.
I did not make the most of my university days, and rather regret it.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:27, Reply)
Really? You didn't make the most of an opportunity?
Seriously? Wow Monty, you must have changed a lot since you were young.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:28, Reply)
Night and day, Al.

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:30, Reply)
You still have the political naivety of an earnest
but slightly dim student, so I'll bet you were even worse back then.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:31, Reply)
I'll bet you instigated a 'sit-in'.

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:33, Reply)
I've never been active in politics
or any form of student union. Though once at college I went to Bournemouth for an NUS training course, despite not being on my college NUS council. I drank a lot of whiskey and had a clumsy fumble with a girl from Exmouth.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:34, Reply)
I only told you I was a girl from Exmouth for a laugh.
I never thought things would get out of hand in the manner they did.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:37, Reply)
to be fair, I should fuck off from here, but I've been driving all day and I"m only lazily writing out the beginnings of an essay at the moment.
I'll do it properly tomorrow. for now I'm just getting my ideas out.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:29, Reply)
^this
if I had my time back over things would be different
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:30, Reply)
how so? I always thought you were a great student...

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:31, Reply)
She regrets all the casual sex and flaunting of her breasts.

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:32, Reply)
I'm a shit student :)
which you know haha
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:35, Reply)
You say that
but it really wouldn't be. And going back as a mature student is quite a different exerience.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:32, Reply)
Before I became a parent
I thought about returning to education a number of times, not a chance now, though.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:36, Reply)
I'll never go back as a mature student
after this year I'm done with academics, I meant more if I knew what I know now at the beginning I'd have done stuff differently. Number one being I'd have refused to eat that cream tea at the Buttery.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:37, Reply)
Was it laced with Rohypnol?

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:39, Reply)
That would've been preferable!

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:40, Reply)
Go on, tell the story!

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:41, Reply)
Sadly it's uninteresting and a bit angsty
the cream was off, and that gave me the infection that led to a year off uni mostly spent in hospital.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:46, Reply)
Did they get inspected by Environmental Health
Surely you were due some sort of compensation?
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:52, Reply)
Too big a time gap
I was ill in freshers week and it takes four weeks for the other illness to show up. Plus no proof except my word.

Oddly enough they refurbished completely though a couple of weeks into term which makes me think there was something strange about the place.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:55, Reply)
Oh man, oh boy, oh gosh
that's great Monty, it's almost like you haven't made that same joke almost word for word before.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:22, Reply)
Reliable, Al - not tedious.

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:22, Reply)
It's a thin line you balance on there Monty
Clearly something I could never do without just crushing the line utterly.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:27, Reply)
That's because you're really fucking fat.

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:32, Reply)

I'm home for the weekend! getting my car fixed. I'm thinking I'm going to have a nice long bath later - enjoy the luxury of being able to have one!
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:21, Reply)
Muesli.
I have a stiff and very sore neck. I shall probably spend most of the weekend in bed being miserable. I got a lovely message from a guy on the dating site last night but he's too short and he looks like Rod Hull.

If Aber appears and tells me I'm being too fussy I shall shun her........in Spanish.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:34, Reply)
Go and see a Chiropractor
they will crack your neck back healthy.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:35, Reply)
I just might do that................eventually.

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:37, Reply)
Go an see an osteopath.
Chiropractors are semi-cranks.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:37, Reply)
Agreed. Mine put me in hospital, the chinese cunt.
I found a physiotherapist the best.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:39, Reply)
Depends on which one you see.
I admit that the lack of actual regulation is a bit worrying, but some of them are very good.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:39, Reply)
I don't know who I need to see.
I keep having back and hip problems, and it's driving me mad. I need to work it out somehow.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:43, Reply)
Either an Osteopath or a Chiropractor.
But if you don't know anyone to recommend a chiropractor, find an osteopath.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:45, Reply)
Try a proctologist if you need to work something out.

...and if it doesn't work out, just push him off the roof.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:47, Reply)
I was going to do just that
But I won't do it now. However, you find a nice guy who knows how to give a lovely massage and you say no to him because he's too short? C'mon, girl, what do you want??
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 9:12, Reply)
Google Rod Hull.

Alreet Badger
I'm planning to stay in tonight, but it's likely I'll go out, as a superb local band are playing in the pub. Tomorrow the football is on, so I'll watch that.

Then on Sunday I'm being a massive geek, and heading to the pub at about midnight, in order to watch Wrestlemania and get pissed until about 5am.

All in all, not a bad weekend, I feel.
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:49, Reply)

Morning all
Annoyingly the kids decided to sleep in on a Friday, meaning running round like a blue arsed fly this morning. As a result I had to drive in. This has cheered my mood considerably as I was accompanied by the strains of the soundtrack to Judgement Night at exceedingly loud noise levels.

One cup of coffee and a pastie forfeit later, breakfast is done!

I'm off to the pub at lunchtime to see a mate I've not seen for a while and may well be pubbing tomorrow for food.

All in all, good!
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 8:57, Reply)
I've got that one somewhere, most it is surprisingly good, with the exception of the Slayer track which is fucking awful

(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 9:02, Reply)
Slayer and Ice T?
I like the middle part of that. It was 3 old punk songs welded together I think
(, Fri 1 Apr 2011, 9:04, Reply)
