Woo!
Reasons today is great:
Spanish Grand Prix
Last Game of the Premier League Season (which you might like because it's the *last* for 3 months if you like)
I've stayed under 13 stone the whole week (I think skipping the traditional "Under 13St Celebratory 15" Pizza and bottle of wine" may have had something to do with that)
Why's your Sunday great?

I bent down in the gym locker room to pick up a sock and stood up directly under the open locker door.
No blood but there's a massive lump.
(sorry that my story involving a massive bulge and bending over at the gym isn't ruder but my head FUCKING HURTS)

because today my ex agreed to start letting my daughter stay over at mine starting in July. This is fucking major for me, dull as it doubtless is to you.
I've also had a great morning with said child, followed by a visit to the remarkably good Museum of London Docklands followed by a cheeky pint and in less than two minutes I shall be nomming down on slow-roasted belly pork.
I've got a great bottle of wine, beer in the fridge and some executive quality marijuana for pudding.
Chin chin*
*no offence Lab

3-0 down and our most inconsistent player scores a hat-trick to salvage the draw.

- Saw a girl who I thought was Mercadeez From Hollyoaks serving me bacon sandwich and the garden centre. With a younger sister who I thought to myself reminded me of a cheap porno with a girl from the country and a guy from the city.
- Cleaned up Dad's stone, paid my respects and all that.
- Fell asleep in the car while Ma' did more garden centre stuff.
- Went to see Pirates of the Caribeen 4, my first 3D Film evah.
- Got home and went onto Richersounds's website to see how much a 3D telly would cost.... decided it's affordable this year.

I had Wild Duck Ravioli with red wine and balsamic vinegar for dinner, what sort of sauce would you put with that? I went for Arrabiata - red peppers, garlic and chilli in a tomato base. It was alright but I'm wondering if a cheese or cream sauce might have been better.

Maybe just melted butter?

I am now thinking just folding some pesto into it might have been nice, I was I think hung up on a pasta dish requiring an actual sauce.

it's just as easy to make nice meals cheaply from nice stuff as from crap stuff.

I'm crap at both cooking and shopping. I stare at the fridge and it does not inspire me to make amazing things like you guys

chicken, beef, pork etc
decide what sauce you want:
Cream, tomato, wine etc
then google or use a recipe search. I use www.supercook.com - you can tell it what you got and it aggregates recipes from dozens of sites ordered by how many ingredients you already have. Then nip out and buy the rest and whip it up. I've got about a dozen one pan recipes that are great, I keep mushrooms and cream and leeks and onions in my fridge, and cartons of chopped tomatoes in my cupboard because I can always make stuff out of them.

My problem with meat is I forget I have it. It's easier to just make things from stuff that doesn't go off quick

or a couple of pork chops, and then do two chicken or pork recipes in a row. I know proper grown-ups plan their meals for the whole week, but I'm not quite there yet...

and I'm sure I'll make a mess of them somehow
