BT really are a bunch of twats
We are due to have two new phone lines installed at work, so they rather helpfully disconnected the two existing ISDN lines that we are keeping and turned them into analogue lines, so we had no phone system for two days.

every dealing I've had with them has been shit
which is why I have nothing to do with them any more. The service I get from Virgin has been outstanding.

BT went downhill when Busby left.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:41, Reply)
Matt Busby?

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:42, Reply)
Yeah, some kind of incident on a plane I heard

I know! But I waved :(

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:49, Reply)
Sorry! I missed it.
*waves like a mong*
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:49, Reply)
You're forgiven.
Hope you slept better last night.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:50, Reply)
A little : )
I'm not so much worried about the lack of sleep as about the fact I'll look like shit at the weekend if I don't sleep well.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:51, Reply)
You're meeting people from the Internet.
You'll shine like Pippa Middleton on a Sunshine Bus surrounded by that lot.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:53, Reply)
hahah!
You say the loveliest things.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:11, Reply)
I actually think Kate is better looking

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:03, Reply)
Me too.
I can't see what all the fuss is about.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:08, Reply)
They are like the Corrs.
You have a favourite, but lets be honest. You'd happily settle for one of the other ones if that was all that was available with the exception of the bloke in the Corrs, obviously.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:10, Reply)
She did have a nice arse it's true
but when money is essentially no object it's not hard to get a flattering dress.

I feel really sorry for her with all the tabloid coverage these days
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:12, Reply)
I feel sorry for her boyfriend
seeing as every newspaper was essentially trying to pimp her out to Harry.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:13, Reply)
that must suck
if I were in that position I'd really struggle not to tell them to fuck off constantly.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:16, Reply)
So how was the stag weekend?
Are you in possession of a full set of eyebrows?
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:18, Reply)
Oh God this^
I forgot all about it.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:18, Reply)
haha
I got off very lightly indeed.

I think I confounded them all by happily drinking everything they put in front of me and dealing with it well.

All I was forced to do was wear a pink "I love Justin Bieber" t shirt and an "I heart JB" hoodie.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:20, Reply)
It's funny because it's true.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:31, Reply)
I think I may have accepted them with a little too much gusto

WOOP WOOP! That is like a lie in for me
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:55, Reply)
cunt
I got to bed at midnight and woke up at 4:15, then took probably 20 minutes to get back to sleep before waking up again at 6:30. I'm going to be a cunt today, I can feel it.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:02, Reply)
I slept from 9pm to 6am!
*dances*

My broadband stopped working last night
so I phoned up virgin this morning and within a few minutes I was all back up and running. I was rather pleased.

Trouble is, since BT actually run the infrastructure, at work we are forced to have contact with them.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:44, Reply)
those cunts.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:03, Reply)
Really?
BT have been nothing but brilliant for me. We have a strange arrangement for the phone line in the house- in short, we don't pay for it, as it is some kind of strange business line. We tried contacting the bill payers, but no dice. Although when the line developed a fault, BT sent an engineer the next day.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 9:46, Reply)
Compared with TalkTalk, BT are as efficient as the Gestapo.

And don't get me started with the indian call centres, I swear they only do that so people give up quitting.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:12, Reply)
I hate speaking to them.
I feel like such a racist. "I'm sorry 'Gary' (if indeed that is your real name), but I can't understand a fucking word you're saying."
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:17, Reply)
I agree
but I don't think it is racist if you actually can't understand what they are saying.

I recall my mum telling me she had the same thing in person with a doctor. Mum kept having to ask her to repeat herself and the women seemed to take it as being deliberate and racist.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:21, Reply)
Whenever I get bloods done, it's normally someone foreign... I need to make conversation when that's happening, conversation about anything that isn't what is happening.
So I ask them where they're from generally, "Oh, is it nice there? What's the food like? Do you go home often?...etc", as I have absolutly nothing in common. A few times people have taken it as a racist thing, "What is wrong coming from Hungry?" and stuff like that, so I say "Nah', nothing, I'm just making conversation and am interested in where people come from, their cultures and all that".
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:24, Reply)
odd that someone would see that as racist
people are too sensitive I suspect. In fact, it's most likely political correctness gone mad
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:26, Reply)
It's rare that happens, but it does happen. I'm afraid it really wouldn't suprise me, what with working in the NHS, they come across a lot of people who belittle forign workers there.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:29, Reply)
it's stupid
people should be belittled because they are shit, not because of where they are from.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 10:36, Reply)
"Yes, my name is Garry Smith and I am from London in England..... excuse me while I look up on the 'net what the weather is".
I switch companies if I see them using them, they can't do anything beyond read a script, might as well go fully automated. It's not racist, if they did that anywhere in the world with a non-nativly-english-speaking staff then they would have the same problem. It's quite damming that BT, who own BT Wholesale, who control the entire telephone network (more or less), can't compete with their own prices and have to outsource to an entirely other country 2/3s of the way around the world.
