I never know what counts as Tapas
and what's a starter or a side dish.

I took the day off to wait in for a BT engineer to get my broadband & phone installed and then I got a text this morning saying the flat is already wired up so there's no need for a visit. I TOLD THEM THAT THREE WEEKS AGO.
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 8:43, Reply)

Am I right in thinking there's currently loads of gorillas on display in Bristol, all painted in different styles by different artists?

it may interest you to know that the artist commissioned by the club to paint the gorilla at Ashton Gate is my girlfriend's sister.

It's like those elephants from a couple of years ago...
I hope the ones in bedminster are nailed down, electrified and covered in barbed wire, they might last the night then.
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:42, Reply)
We had the elephants here in Norwich
The sister-in-law did one of the lions in Bristol last year too
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:44, Reply)
Some local artist did a community piano project a few years ago
Where pianos were left all over Bristol for the community to use.

The first thing the kids in Bedminster asked him as it was being installed was, 'As it's our piano, can we set fire to it?'
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:44, Reply)
hahahahaha
fucking hell. A friend of mine used to work in Lloyds on east Street and would often have people coming in to take out their last £3.24 or so
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:45, Reply)
Here you go Apey. I knew I'd read the story somewhere

I went out for tapas with Mrs Cow a few weeks ago
I had a tremendous scrambled egg, red pepper, chorizo and potato dish. Also, another scrambled eggs dish a while ago with wild garlic that was nom.

Not too fond of alioli (or however it is actually spelled)
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:24, Reply)
aeoli is the greatest of all condiments
Only mustard comes close.
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:26, Reply)
Not fond of raw garlic

(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:27, Reply)
Very good for your heart, if not your breath

(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:28, Reply)
You're getting raw garlic mixed up with 'beans, beans' here, I think.

(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:28, Reply)

(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:37, Reply)
Again, not your finest hour, here.

(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:39, Reply)

My nephew loves those pickled garlic in jars.
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:28, Reply)
My daughter is obsessed with pickled cornichons, for some reason.

(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:30, Reply)
My nephew loved those when he was a toddler.
He also loves chewing on slices of lemon. He tried carbonated water for the first time a while ago and thought it was very strange. He couldn't get his head round fizzy water for some reason.
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:33, Reply)
Pulpo alla gallega
Flaming chorizo (can't remember its name, but IT'S ON FUCKING FIRE)
Fabada Asturiana - pork and bean stew, when it's good it's very good, when it's not it's OK

Enjoy

As for condiments, I love a bit of Garlic Horseradish
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:44, Reply)
My friends parents live in the Mountains of Northern Spain
and the Fabada there is so, so disgusting. it's full of offal and donkey heart
(, Thu 7 Jul 2011, 9:47, Reply)
Well, I'm on my way to Sonisphere
So I won't be on here for a few days. Does that entertain you?
