(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 9:40, Reply)
I'm too cheap in this respect.
But, you know what, I think I'll upgrade. Thanks.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 9:45, Reply)
Can you find me cheap flights to Amsterdam going out November 30 and coming back December 2.
Because I can't.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 9:35, Reply)
try a different airport

(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 9:36, Reply)
I have tried Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh.
There's Leeds but it's rubbish times.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 9:46, Reply)
cardiff airport is nice
a bastard to get to, but when I went last i wasabout the only person there
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 9:47, Reply)
What prices were you quoted?
Also, what is your preferred airport. I'll have a look around my regular booking sites. See if I can find something reasonable for you.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:15, Reply)
Anywhere around the north east would be lovely.
I'll be in Newcastle and could potentially get the ferry but it takes ages. Been quoted a couple hundred quid so far, which is no good as I'll be getting a train to Enschede for the football when I'm in Amsterdam on top of the flights.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:20, Reply)
OK...
...Newcastle, unless you want to connect in London, is pretty much dead. Though the flights are cheap.

However, If you leave from Manchester you can get direct flights to Amsterdam Schipol. They range from £62 (Squeezyjet) to £158 (KLM).

That kinda what you're after?
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:28, Reply)
The Manchester one could be perfect, nice one.
They definitely have to be cheap as possible.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:37, Reply)
OK, dude...
...here's the link I used:

www.kayak.co.uk/#flights/MAN-AMS/2011-11-30/2011-12-02

It'll list all flights from Manchester to Amsterdam.

If anything is unclear, let me know. :O)
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:41, Reply)
Cheers mate.
I might go out from Gatwick with my mates, flying back to Edinburgh might work but the flight gets in at 10pm and getting to Newcastle at that time will be impossible.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:52, Reply)
If you're going "dahn sahf", here's one more option...
...take the Eurostar from St Pancras and go to Brussels. If you specify to Eurostar, you can use your Eurostar ticket to go from Brussels to any Dutch Train Station with 24 hours of arrival. Which means once you arrive at Brussels. you can train it to Amsterdam Centraal or straight to Enschede. I do that all the time.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 11:14, Reply)
Aye I read about that.
But I'd be doing it alone so it's a no go.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 11:17, Reply)
Failing all that...
...Squeezyjet can fly from Edinburgh to Amsterdam and back for 50-something quid.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 11:19, Reply)
Is it possible to fly to Bremen and get a train or bus from there?

(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:31, Reply)
Probably. But everyone I know is going via Amsterdam, the my number one aim is to travel with mates.

(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:36, Reply)
I didn't take that into account.
*has no friends*

I'd love that so much.
I wonder if there is a market to have someone come into your home, cook a good meal (pre-arranged, so it's not a 'menu' exactly), and leave once the meal is done.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:55, Reply)
In your part of London, I really think there is.

(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 11:03, Reply)
I think so too

Fancy Brooks on Wednesday?
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:43, Reply)
Hah, nah', bones being the only thing you don't have isn't picky.
I reckon everyone has something that most people eat that they refuse, like I won't eat tinned tuna and would never chose tuna in general.

Yeah', wed sounds good.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:54, Reply)
I'm alright cheers
Already had a cracking breakfast - Sausagw, bacon, egg and black pudding bap.

Fucking wonderful, but holy hell I'm full!
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 9:56, Reply)
Coincidentally
I had a sausage, bacon, egg and mushroom butty.

That's sorted me out. I might have another cup of tea now, just to settle me down.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:00, Reply)
You win.
I'm having porridge and green tea. With a tab for afters.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:01, Reply)

(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 10:29, Reply)
I tell you what I don't want.
An ace vintage Fulham shirt. Cos my mate who works at the club nabbed one for me from the training ground, I've been after one for ages and have pestered him half seriously about him getting one for me. One's just turned up through the post out of the blue, I'm beyond delighted.

I want to go back to bed
I don't think you can get that from the shops though. I was awakened at 6.30 this morning by my delightful nephew, who, let's face it, could have been just as pleased to see me at the more reasonable hour of 9am.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 11:08, Reply)
yes but he was awake NOW and he wanted to see you NOW and this is why he had to wake you UP, so that he could talk to you about everything!

(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 11:32, Reply)
Have we established how old this nephew is?
He may be 7 or 17.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 11:43, Reply)

spots going away?
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:03, Reply)
Thanks
yeah. quite a lot of little ones have just faded away. The others are developing as they should. Not at all nice though. The worst ones have been on my neck and next to my eye. the ones in the mouth didn't really hurt but they are just weird. There's a newcomer on the palm of my hand which doesn't hurt but is irritating me!
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:08, Reply)
it sounds like you could give reviews

on man
I fell asleep again and had a mad dream and some b3tans were in it. Darth was telling everyone about being in TWL, and there was a massive band which seemed to be largely b3tans (or people I assumed to be so).
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:00, Reply)
It's a sign!
A nap sounds bloody good. How's the flump?
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:26, Reply)
He's pretty lively now
although I'm not sure he's eating much yet. he's still in his isolation ward and probably getting fed up of my checking on him
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:40, Reply)
Glad he's feeling okay.
So, was I in your band? I can only play the recorder, so I hope not.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:42, Reply)
I think you were one of the ones who
was telling me how all the words came from children's books.

When I say band, it was a massive orchestra sized band fronted by the guy from a really welsh band I saw at Green Man (Bleedin Noses)
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:45, Reply)
and exactly how many drugs had you taken before you went to sleep?

(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:52, Reply)

I'm chatting to my friend in Virginia at the moment.
He's taking the earthquake and potential hurricane personally. I told him to hope for a zombie invasion so he can collect the disaster film hat trick.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 13:55, Reply)
Send him round to Kristine's
They can compare personal disasters.
(, Sat 27 Aug 2011, 14:00, Reply)
