I'm back! No one cares, time to kill myself.

Mate, I think I've made a terrible mistake with the livingroom feature-wall wallpaper and the paint for the rest of the place.
I ended up with a leather-like wallpaper with a regal grey pattern, and gray walls. I wanted a warming effect but I think I'm gonna end up with a Tim Burton Black'n'White Dream.

It was all the names of paints you see, "A whisper of egyption sand" and "Perfume" and "Snow wolf's dream" or whatever it was. It all confused me.

It's all to late now, trouble is Ma' got involved, had a full out rowel with her, whatever I wanted was 'wrong' even though its mine. In the end, I gave in and chose what she wanted. 4 fucking hours of it, I had enough.

No, I'm being a twat, it'll look amazing.

Just been to the supermarket for some Xmas provisions
You'd think there was going to be a world war. It's like a swarm of locusts have been through the store.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 13:08, Reply)
This is what all the locusts say.

Depends how long you sit in the bath, I suppose.

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 13:25, Reply)
urgh
I need to consider having to go into town. This thought makes me do a sad
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:35, Reply)
I've just been, it's fine.

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:37, Reply)
i dunno
I get stressed at shopping normally. I suppose if they are doing late night shopping some time this week I could go then.

What can I get for a secret santa for someone at work? Has to be £5
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:41, Reply)
There's lots of simple options.
It depends who they are and what they like.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:43, Reply)
The cover lecturer for art and stuff
unlike anyone else I could have picked out, I know very little about her
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:46, Reply)
What's her style?

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:48, Reply)
i don't reallly know what that actually means

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:49, Reply)
Does she dress like she should be at a hippy gathering, or does she wear figure fitting neutrals?
High heels or dockers?
How does she wear her hair?
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:51, Reply)
um
I...er...I just don't notice these things. I think she wears shoes and clothes and things and wears her hair down. Or up. Shit, I genuinely can't remember, some kind of french pleat/bun thing? Definitely seen her wear a cardigan
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:56, Reply)
Well, this is incredibly helpful.
If you want, you can gaz me during the week and I can give you some suggestions. As I said, there are quite a few options even keeping within a secret santa budget.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 14:59, Reply)
will do
got to find something before Friday. I might just have to wander round a late openning shop until I find something not terrible. Or Dun Elm, that sells art stuff. Art teachers like arty thing I reckon.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:01, Reply)
Dunelm has a great craft section.

there's one of those near me
they're fun for 'making things' stuff. can't go in too often otherwise my house becomes drowned in 'things I could make something cool with but won't get round to'
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:03, Reply)
I do scrapbooking, so I love those kind of places.
I probably have enough 12x12 paper to redecorate my whole house by now.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:05, Reply)
I'll kill myself with you.
Someone knocked into my telly last night and broke it. It's the most annoyed I've ever been.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:14, Reply)
Were they doing squat thrusts at the time?

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:16, Reply)
I'm not sure.
That would make it slightly less horrifically annoying.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:37, Reply)
Insured?

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:42, Reply)
No.
It's from Richer Sounds and less than three months old though, they're pretty good with returns. Should be fine.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:57, Reply)
I'd go skitz.

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 16:03, Reply)
So the 'targetted' advertising on Google Mail just threw up a link to this recipe
www.recipesource.com/main-dishes/meat/pork/spam/00/rec0004.html

I quite like a bit of spam now and again, but this recipe sounds vile. What do they take me for?
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 15:25, Reply)
The sort of recipe one keeps for a nuclear winter!
I like the idea of cornflake crust. Hahahaha.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 16:36, Reply)
more like the sort of thing I'd make by accident

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 16:54, Reply)
really? you like spam?

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 16:58, Reply)
I made an error
I needed an alarm clock and the only one which wasn't hideous/wind up was a Ben 10 one. But now I realise it only has 3, 6, 9 and 12 on it, so how the hell do I know how to set it for 7:15?
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 17:15, Reply)
You need to set it
so that the alarm hand points exactly 37.5° clockwise from the 6. You may need a protractor.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 17:18, Reply)
I left my protractor at work :(

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 17:26, Reply)
I have an idea!
I shall wait for the second hand to go 6 seconds past the 6 and put the alarm thing there. I'll be up 3 minutes early, but I can handle that
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 17:31, Reply)
point the alarm hand pointy bit at the 3 then just a little past and bingo

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 17:20, Reply)
really?

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 17:26, Reply)
get a different one

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 17:34, Reply)
Oh Kristine, you with your logic and sense.
Anyone would think you're not mental at all.
How was your date?
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:00, Reply)
I'm just saying right if it's so complicated you can't work it then what's the sense in keeping it EH

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:22, Reply)
Ooo! dinner and drinks is well grown up.

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:24, Reply)
it's at a sports bar, so it will include cold chicken wings and beer

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:32, Reply)
Oh.......................
Still it's one more date than I have.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:40, Reply)
Haha, it's like the creators of the Ben 10 Alarm Clock already know that the kid is going to USE THEIR MOBILE PHONE instead of the clock and that they're just there for decoration.

No worries =)

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:04, Reply)
That does sound like fun.
I have been doing laundry and shopping. I am now working on another application form (deadline: midnight) and have a massive joint of beef and four cans of beer in the slow cooker.

I've been so productive today I might as well end it now.
I'll never re-live the moment.

I misread the deadline as midday.
Checked again to find it's midnight hence why I'm now working on it, otherwise I'd be sat on my arse with my feet up as I haven't fucking stopped all weekend on account of the missus being ill.

Should I keep my gob shut, or should I ask how the interview went?

(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:11, Reply)
Absolutely shite.
Completely ballsed up the test so the interview was a non starter. c'est la vie.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:13, Reply)
Why'dya do that? you silly sod. What you wanted to do was ace the test, get the interview, ace that too, get the job and then you'd be sorted.
muppet.

Ma' always says "You don't learn by what you do right", and on that she's not wrong.
They'll be a next time, and now you know what to do.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:23, Reply)
I think it was more nerves than anything.
I'm fine in interviews usually but tests tend to make me spaz out for some reason.
(, Sun 11 Dec 2011, 18:27, Reply)
