My subway tastes to day of bread, sauce and "Generic". It litterally has no flavour aside the sauce.
I've never had anything with no flavour before, even cardboard tastes of something.

I get subway most days 'cus it's cheap and not too unhealthy.

Gonz, it really isn't very good for you at all

I reckon it is likely to be up there with most fast food outlets.

I believe it is less fatty, but stuffed full of salt and sugar
plus processed meat has carconagenic nitrates in it

Out of interest, is there such thing as a healthy meal?
At least half the time I mention food on here, someone goes on and on about how it is the cause of my stomach problems.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 14:06, Reply)
There is such a thing as a healthy meal
Your problem is medical, not dietary.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, exactly.

Asked yet another doc about about it on saturday, another doc told me I have valid reasons for taking them.

I think the best option is a balanced meal that does not spike in any particu;ar area
particularly saturated fat, salt and calories. the only way to achieve this is to not eat processed food.

Nakers talks sense
In a spack-handed typing kind of way.

Really? It's some salad and a bit of meat with some sauce in bread.
I went for the Tukey Ham + Real Ham one this time, I normally go for an intalian BMT.

What's the diff between this and an average sandwich at marks'n'sparks?
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 14:03, Reply)
Well there is a lot of bread, a lot of MSG, many calories and salt and sugar in the sauces, fat in the meat and cheese

Subway turkey on honey oat is the food of the gods.
And I won't be told otherwise.
(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 14:10, Reply)
That's very nice in a salad, topped with oregano, black pepper and southwest sauce

(, Tue 6 Mar 2012, 14:52, Reply)
i'm with you gonz
subway is as healthy as any convenience food if you choose wisely - eg i have a wrap with all the salad (except fucking evil tomatoes) and a couple of slices of cheese. so a couple of hundred calories, and about 10g of fat, less if i don't have a sauce.

if you have a 12 inch meatball marinara, then it's 1,100 calories and 42grams of fat and about 7 grams of salt.

fine to choose the wrong things, if that's what you fancy. but don't blame subway. admit that you chose the fattening shit!
