New thread time.
Do you think if Milliband called a vote of no confidence, would he get it?
Alt, waste of time? www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-19868376
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:22, 93 replies, latest was 13 years ago)
Only if it was a vote of no confidence in all politicians
alt: not if they find something

Not sure I like the sound of a "body recovery dog", wouldn't it just chew the bones and bury them in your garden?
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:26, Reply)
In a sitcom, yes.
They're trained to smell something called cadaverine, which is given off rotting bodies. I'd thought there would be no more given off, reagrding the time, but you never know.

I think it's mathmatically possible for him to make a coalition if the next by election is taken by labour.
But it would be a seriously shitty mix of parties. Probably not worth it, best to let the coalition fuck themselves over for a few more years.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:28, Reply)
I think Labour said they would never join with the Lib-Dems.
Then again, all politicos are lying swine.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:29, Reply)
83 is the number they'll have to get.
And there's 84 "up for grabs" with the lib dems and independants smaller parties.
So yeah it's possible but no one would want a coalition with Lib dems, Scottish National, Respect, Plaid Cymru etc etc, it would be a pain in the arse.

The only union I've ever been in is the NUS,
and that was to get into the bar.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:47, Reply)
It's not about joining a union, it's about selling your redundancy/dismissal rights
for £2k to £50k of shares, and considering if you're going to be made redundant the shares probably aren't going to be worth much it seems stupid to me.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:50, Reply)
Although they probably won't let you join a union on top of that.
Stupid idea Osbourn.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:53, Reply)
You're also gambling that the company will grow
if it doesn't, your shares won't be worth much in a few years.
Not many firms will go for it anyway, it's another smokescreen job, pick on something that is good for fuck all nobody and make it sound like loads of people will get it.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:55, Reply)
I guess it's to encourage businesses to hire more staff, by deferring some of the cost and reducing the liability of siad staff member by making them easier to fire

(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 14:57, Reply)
It reduces liability long term but exchanges it for a up front charge.
Also if it's totally volutary as mentioned then people can say no, and the liability is still there.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 15:00, Reply)
If that's a new picture why are they looking for a body?

i just found out it was Chy's 21st birthday on sunday
i've already told her that when you turn 21 your body is officially losing more cells than it creates, so you're slowly dying away.

anyone know of a decent pic i can send her as a birthday card?
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 15:53, Reply)
I think that is a 'no'
Have you tried /board?
They do pics and stuff.

Just use one of those Auschwitz 'pile of rotting bodies' pics.
Write 'you, any day soon' on it.

Unless of course you actually like this person, obv.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 16:05, Reply)

Ah ok,

You're a medical doctor, Q, answer me this:
My morning walk is estimated as 50 mins, but I do it in 30 because I bomb it. Would it be better for me to walk a bit slower and thus be exercising for longer, or does the fact that I am pushing myself harder mean this is better for me even though my exercise time is shorter?
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 16:18, Reply)
probably best to take it gently
if you over-exert yourself you'll be more likely to injure yourself, or get out of breath
(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 16:22, Reply)
i thought 'out of breath' was supposed to be a good thing, no?

(, Mon 8 Oct 2012, 16:30, Reply)
Vote of no confidence or not, I just don't fancy him so no, he wouldn't 'get it' soz.
If someone else has posted this 'gag' already then sorry but there's no way I'm reading through this shit thread to find out.

Soz again.
