I'm taking my penny farthing along to this in a bit: lcc.org.uk/articles/lcc-organises-second-protest-ride-after-third-cyclist-killed-in-three-weeks-on-street-without-dedicated-space-for-cycling
Leaving aside the knee-jerk hatred for cyclists, do you recon this kind of protest does any good? I have my doubts but what the hell it's local.
Alt: is this place full of placids? it seems to dies at 5 o'clock, actually more like 4:30, does any one actually work?
AltAlt: post your favourite memory of Monty, poor dead Monty.

Everyone should have the right to protest. Unfortunately protests rarely have any impact.
Altalt: he and his girlfriend bought me an excellent book for my birthday. He is a cunt though.

...which is only once a week. Other than that, I set my own. However, my original comments about being 'expected' to be at unpaid extra-curricular type activities were blown out of proportion (quel surprise) and 'doing a Placid' became a meme - go me!

but in my case because there isn't a dedicated cycle route to my place of work form my flat.
This would be silly, but there's a valid argument that more people cycling in London would be good for pretty much everyone (part form people who make money off cars/petrol) and that providing facilities to make cycling in London safer would encourage this.

even if they are about to fall over.
The lycra-clad variety are cunts to a man, especially in groups.
However so are car drivers who attempt to overtake them on blind corners cos they're too fucking impatient to wait 5 seconds.

Or whatever it's called these days.
( , Tue 16 Jul 2013, 17:34, Reply)

therefore it's a fairly pointless argument especially as many cyclists will pay the duty if they also own a car.

but realistically it's going to be the end of the month before I hear anything. Meeting some recruitment agency bint on Tuesday in the meantime. Sign on tomorrow - fucking joy. I hope it doesn't take the useless cunts 10 weeks to process my claim like it last time otherwise I'm likely to go postal.

Nowadays it's just an attempt to keep the greens happy by taxing 4x4s more.
1.4 million cars are untaxed and uninsured too...

in general, there does seem to be increasing provision for cycle lanes, at least in my area and areas I cycle in.
a mass protest is probably no good, as it will just slow traffic and cause more motorists to get on the frankly ridiculous anti-cycling band wagon, when in truth, if everyone followed the law, and did their best to not be a dick or take unneccesary risks, (cyclists and motorists alike) then there would be less of a problem.

Craig.
Connery.
Dalton
Moore.
Lazenby.
Brosnan.
Considering how the character was portrayed in the original books.

There was a massive rights issue over the ownership of the franchise which lead to a five or six year gap between films; by the time it was resolved he decided himself he didn't want to do another one as his contract had (I think) lapsed.
