My speed dating event has been canceled AGAIN, so I'm stopping in and drowning my loneliness in red wine. I'm beginning to think it's personal. The same company has "up to 35" events practically every night, it's a bleeding joke.

I tried match for a while, but I read an article that 98% of their profiles are inactive
and they massage their stats in some very dodgy ways. OKCupid for a bit, not much joy there either. At least with speed dating they have to acknowledge your existence if only for 4 minutes. :(

And I'll freely admit there were a few, but less than 20%. Some of the others might have turned out to be that on longer inspection, but I was genuinely surprised at the number of entirely acceptable women.

Which is why I signed up for another one.
