I do like a nice fish pie.
I know, right?!

Can't go wrong with steak, gravy and a bit veg.

Fish pie is on the menu for Saturday

(, Thu 13 Feb 2014, 16:08, Reply)
Include scallops.

In a pie?
I thought they'd get lost in one.

Salmon, smoked trout and a.n.other, prawns, boiled eggs, spinach and topped with mustard/cheese mash with a cream sauce made with shallots, garlic and double cream.

I like them but I can't leave them to cook that long.
I make holes in the mash with a spoon and drop them in. Then cover them up again.
(, Thu 13 Feb 2014, 16:14, Reply)
I'd rather fry good bacon in butter until crispy then 30 secs a side for the scallops
Brown bread.
Done

Deffo on their own is best.
But they are nice in a pie.

Personally, I'd have a scallop starter and use the coral in the pie.
(, Thu 13 Feb 2014, 16:16, Reply)
Oooh, thats a good idea

(, Thu 13 Feb 2014, 16:16, Reply)
That's a good idea. I haven't cooked scallops for ages. Must rectify that soon.

Prawns are known to feed on scraps and dead creatures because they are scavengers. They will also feed on planktons which are small plants and animals found in water. Prawns often hunt for prey mostly during the night when it is dark. One can also feed them with commercial food sources.
