It depends where you want to be based.The Waldorf (also a Hilton) is better (at Aldwych). Not as good as the Savoy over the road - but a fair bit cheaper if you are on a budget.

I tend to use the Paddington whenever I go to That London for gigs because I'm a lazy fucker.Straight off the train, out of the station and I'm there.
Also there's a decent pub just across the road for booze and food pre-gig.

I stayed in the Waterloo travelodge.As all I needed was a bed to sleep on and a pisspot, it was "ok".
