Do you still buy vinyl? Why? It's inconvenient and a pointless affectation. I bet you don't even have a turntable, you hipster prick.
No offence like.

bought a few acid techno and dnb tunes when I tried beat matching. Gave the tables away in the end though, and the records

I'm flogging mine on ebay. You wouldn't believe how much someone will pay for a daft punk single on 12".
( , Tue 9 Dec 2014, 10:34, Reply)

£50 for the lot.

Always has been, always will be. I have spent too much time with 'Audiophiles'* to bother arguing any more.
*Tosspots with more money than sense who will pay for 'unidirectional** copper wire' at £50/metre and £300 speaker stands for better 'room connection'*** and wouldn't know an RT60 measurement or a pink noise frequency analysis if it bit them on the nads.
**No such thing.
*** See above.

I'll stick with pink noise generators, a B&K frequency analyser and science, thanks all the same.

and if you don't have a green pen for the edge of your CDs you may as well not have bothered moving on from wax cylinders.

One of my mates dad used to buy into this bollocks. Oxygen free cables that cost more than my car. He then used to put his mucky finger prints all over his records and chuck them on the carpet, which was covered in dog hair.

As it happens a chance visit to a charity shop yesterday netted me two Derek and Clive LP's.

The juddery and distorted picture and sound really add to the character of the films. It was how they were meant to be seen, I think.

Vinyl does have its charm but it really is inconvenient.
I used to spend more time than could ever be deemed reasonable in this place though....

I do still have quite a collection, but I've not bought anything on vinyl for years.
I'm too old to be a hipster anyway.

He's pretty ace cheers, very nice of you to ask. I'm not sure when I was last here but I think he might still have been in speech therapy back then. We now have problems getting little bugger to stay quiet for more than 2minutes :0/ I got to meet my other son a couple of years ago as well which was rather emotional.
Things have been pretty ace in my little world.

This all seems very civilised. Anyway, how are you?

Only thing though right, if there is a video and you've found it via a DM link on FB - then you can click a related-link and not have a 30 second advert.
