Something to get your teeth into.
If you could only take one drug for the rest of your life, what drug would it be?
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:22, 39 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
Omeprazole for me.
Stupid malfunctioning stomach.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:23, Reply)
Morphine
Lots and lots of lubbly morphine. It puts me in to a haze where I can't do anything, and the world just passes me by with pretty hallucinations.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:23, Reply)
I tried an ampule of oral morphine once.
It didn't touch me.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:25, Reply)
I get it occasionally on pescription
It does weird things to me. Works as a painkiller, but messes me up something chronic - I think it's painkilling effects are mainly due to sending me to sleep.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:41, Reply)
Vitamin N for me.
Can't do without a ciggie in the morning.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:25, Reply)
God I'm going to have
to be the lamest person on the internet and say some sort of antihistimine as I have bitching hayfever
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:26, Reply)
Heheh
I've got horrible hayfever this year. Never had it before. It's grim, and I sympathise.

Not taken any drugs for it though. Do any of the cheap ones work?
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:31, Reply)
Yeah, excellently.
No point getting 30 prescription ones when you can get 14 for under a pound.
Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys own-brand ones work damn well.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:32, Reply)
I concur
I have the Asda ones, 14 for a squid - does the trick
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:33, Reply)
AMEN SISTER!

(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:37, Reply)
I'll be hitting those hard, then.
Thanks, fellow snifflers!
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:39, Reply)
If you buy them online
at www.chemistdirect.co.uk, for example, you can buy a metric fucktonne of antihistamines for pennies.

Cetirizine dihydrochloride retail at 29p for a pack of 30. You've to pay a shipping charge, but if you buy six month's worth it's still pretty cheap.

Useful note:
If you develop hayfever in your teens it will start to fade in your late thirties and be gone by mid-forties. He you develop it after thirty it's permanent.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:37, Reply)
Ah fuck.

(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:39, Reply)
Damn...
Good luck with that...
*waits for it to go*
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:42, Reply)
Yay!
I got it when I was 15 and haven't had it for the last couple of years....I thought it was down to a lower pollen count or something similar.

Hooray!
No more hayfever!

*shakes fist*
Damn your smugness! :)
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 12:47, Reply)
sweet mary jane
solves all problems
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:26, Reply)
Alcohol.
I could just about deal with quitting smoking.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:27, Reply)
Clearly booze
Life wouldn't be worth living if you couldn't have a nice cold beer on a hot sunny day.

And steak would be boring without a nice fruity red.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:27, Reply)
Tramadol
Lotsa lovely tramadol.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:28, Reply)
Ketamine.
I'm hardcore me!

Edit - Actually same as Leon, bloody dicky tummy.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:30, Reply)
Short answer would be BEER
But mind you, one day I tried some good MDMA and it fucking blew my mind. I have to say it was one of the best and most intense experiences of my life. Not sure if I could do it again though, my heart rate went up like 3 gabillion percent.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:34, Reply)
I've been thinking about this for a bit
And it is another question that has made me think I'm just a very dull person.
I could live perfectly happily without any drugs. I enjoy the odd beer, but I wouldn't miss it too much. And that is about it.

Unless you count chocolate as a drug.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:35, Reply)
I do
I inject it up my bum.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:40, Reply)
SNAP!
I thought I was the only one!
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:49, Reply)
Booze
Just booze
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:40, Reply)
Aspirin
Fixes headaches and strengthens the heart.

You "alcohol is a drug" wankers can fuck right off.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:43, Reply)
De herb
of course.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 9:45, Reply)
*high fives*

(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 10:42, Reply)
LSD
I've always found it intriguing and I'm sure taking it while not being on my prescription drugs would be...interesting.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 10:23, Reply)
Immigran
I get shocking migraines. /lames.
Generally they're avoidable but waking up without having the excuse of a big night out, and feeling like the light is making you throw up while your head throbs in time with your pulse is just not fun.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 10:29, Reply)
Ibuprofen
reduces inflammation and it's an analgesic. What's not to love?
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 10:36, Reply)
Not being able to take it
That's what's not to love!
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 10:53, Reply)
Yeah, al-kee-muh-hol...
for the many delicious forms it comes in, especially, really good wine.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 11:03, Reply)
venlafaxine
but i'm pretty much stuck with it anyway :(
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 11:29, Reply)
Oooh! That's a hard one!
Viagra.
Badum tish.

Seriously though, it'd have to be either opiate based painkillers (all of the win apart from chronic constipation) or THC in all its bounteous forms.
(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 11:53, Reply)
Life

(, Mon 8 Jun 2009, 18:23, Reply)
