I will mostly be cooking fresh, mushroom-stuffed pasta in a tomato sauce with chunky bacon and scallops.
I can practically taste it already.
What are you having?

anyone know where I can get a lab coat/doctors coat tonight or tomorrow after work?

hopefully I'll be lucky.

somewhere like a school uniform etc. shop might be a goer, or similar uni shop.
b&q or somewhere like that might have one, or Makro or something.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 16:55, Reply)

your friend. Although it depends how quickly you need it - makro might have something. Bizarrely, blacks/millets/outdoor shops sometimes have them too.

It's low-fat, the hops count towards your five-a-day and it's bursting with B vitamins (from the yeast) so it's brilliant for the immune system. Real ale is also a natural decongestant. It should be labelled a health food!

You're clearly going to eat potnoodle over the sink.

Also, your lips are disfigured.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:07, Reply)

quite the opposite in fact. my lips and my toes are like fingers.
ok, I'll grant you that finger-lips are pretty disfigured.

provided you can handle hot food - otherwise, avoid like the plague.

I have to get home from work, eat and then go to work in the pub.
Pasta and chickpeas, something like that...
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:03, Reply)

anything else is just wrong.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:05, Reply)

No, with some onion and garlic, chickpeas are nice with pasta. Plain and simple but tasty. I like the texture of them.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:07, Reply)

chickpeas should only ever be used to throw across the table at your brother/sister/great aunt jessie
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:09, Reply)

I've never eaten them before, what do they taste like? Am I missing out?
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:11, Reply)

And they are the parents of hummous, therefore I like them. They don't really taste of anything though...

You're an ace nemesis. I'm going to tell the Pillock tonight.
"Listen, there's someone else. It's not your fault. It IS your fault... It's not your brown suit's fault though. You were a shit nemesis long before you got your brown suit. There's nothing we could have done. I'll never forget you."

Mash a load of chickpeas, whack in some smooth peanut butter (I find tahini rather bitter) as much crushed garlic as you like (2-3 cloves) and the juice from 2 or 3 lemons. If I have sesame seeds, I toast them lightly in a dry frying pan and mix those in too. NOM.

I'm going to make a pretty much bog standard bolognaise sauce (with lots of Lea & Perrins), then slap it in the slow cooker.
I'll have a small portion later on, but I'm making loads, so it'll be my lunch for this week.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:12, Reply)

Due to the shitness of the INTERNET today, this is funny.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:15, Reply)

'Slow' isn't really used these days. I'd say you were a chef with special needs.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:15, Reply)

I heard you already had a 'small portion' :0)
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:22, Reply)

but instead I'm going for beef casserole with dumplings. Mmm, dumplings.
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:44, Reply)

I made a lovely fish pie, a Goldilocks amount for three gutpokes like us. Sweary Jr has just asked if his mate can stay for dinner and overnight, so that's cunted my fish pie in the fuck.
Might make pizzas from scratch & fridge the pie for tomorrow.
Or I could knit some lentils and put them in a curry...
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 17:58, Reply)

but I have narrowed it down to:
falafel
fishfingers and beans
pasta-y thing (which may need more narrowing in itself)
( , Mon 7 Sep 2009, 18:01, Reply)

Lots and lots of cocktails.
Yes I love this bar. Going to miss it so :(
