I can't have that paint drawing on the top of the screen every time I come here
I'm at work, you see?

So, I'm thinking on wearing something on this style:

cgi.ebay.com/VtG-70s-GUNNY-SAX-WEDDING-LACE-CORSET-Dress-xs-s-/160370052770?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Vintage_Women_s_Clothing&hash=item2556cccea2

What do you think?

EDIT: Oh, well, sorry Kristine, but thanks for taking the picture down :)

Just put him on ignore and then the post will disappear.
And no on the dress. It will swamp you. You are short and curvy so need something that shows your figure. Goks!
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 14:57, Reply)
But I don't want to ignore him
What if he writes something interesting later?
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 14:59, Reply)
I very much doubt it.

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 14:59, Reply)
ZING!
I like it.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:16, Reply)
Highly
unlikely.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:42, Reply)
it's a cool dress
but if you are the shape BGB says then I agree with her
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:07, Reply)
Mmm... I'll have to rethink it, then
But I do like so much that type of dresses :(
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:19, Reply)
The thing hyou need to do most is try things on
DO NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN WONDERFUL
Your idea of wonderful, that is. Not anyone elses, not anyone in the shop. Wear something you like, and fuck the haters.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:21, Reply)
I just want you to look beautiful : )
But you need to be happy in it too.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:23, Reply)
I know, and I should listen to you
As I said to Kristine, I don't want to be dressed as a princess. Maybe more corset on the top and tighter all the way to my hips, and then fluffy, or something.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:25, Reply)
You can go for something hippy but something more fitted to show those killer curves.

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:37, Reply)
I like it too.
And I thought that it was the type of dress I wanted for my wedding - however, also being short and curvy, I was quickly disavowed of that idea when I saw that I looked awful in that style of dress.

It also turns out that the dresses which are tight all the way to the hips only suit those women who lack the afore-mentioned hips.

I'm going for extreme corsetry and a nice full (but NOT princessy) skirt for mine.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:34, Reply)
I can't go for the same choice as you
As his ex wife was wearing something similar for their wedding.

You're probably right about the hips. I need to book one of my few female friends and convince her that a trip to try wedding dresses is fun.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:36, Reply)
Have you thought about having it made?
Go try on a bunch of dresses to get the style you like (it's fun, go with a couple of friends and an older female relative who'll give sound, calm advice), then talk to a dressmaker. Way cheaper than buying a "proper" wedding dress. And you can ask them about dyeing it afterwards so you can wear it again for other occasions.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:42, Reply)
I had thought of something like that, yes
I might start asking about references, as I don't know anyone here apart from Mark's family, but they're very posh, and I don't want to trust my dress to someone I don't know at all.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:55, Reply)
Post a picture of yourself
and we'll decide whether or not we think it suits you, I think BGB may be a little too quick to judge for my liking
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:01, Reply)
I know this woman and I have an inkling of what will suit her.
Just because I only dress in jeans and t-shirts doesn't mean I don't know nuffin about looking good.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:03, Reply)
I've never met either of you
I just needed more input :C

stop picking on me
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:05, Reply)
I'll do when I get home
I can't from work.

I need more women on my life to help me choosing about women things.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:20, Reply)
I will spend this weeken looking at wedding dresses to give you some idea of what I mean by what would suit your shape.
Lets face it, I've got nothing better to do : )
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:24, Reply)
No you won't!
You'll be coming to Stockport Beer Festival with me and Aberracion!
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:29, Reply)
Shut up
and get a fucking haircut.

NOW
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:31, Reply)
Ey, don't tell him to shut up on that
And yes, BGB, why don't you come with us to the beer fest? We'll be going around 12:30, and a bunch of people are staying at Mark's so you can stay with us too.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:38, Reply)
Jealousy that I'll be enjoying beer?
And that you'll still be home alone, wanking over any female who dares to even glance your way, before you fill a condom with come, freeze it, and use it as an ice cold dildo, so you can feel jizz slowly dripping out of you once more?
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 16:53, Reply)
I can't : (

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:40, Reply)
Ooooh :(

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:42, Reply)
Once my mum gets back from Tenerife, I'll be more available for visiting for the weekend.

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:47, Reply)
The dress is pretty
but depends on how thin you are as to how well it will hang- it's really narrowly cut
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:02, Reply)
^That

or something... :s
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:05, Reply)
Oooo, hark at her

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:06, Reply)
I think you should wear something that celebrates your Iberian heritage
perhaps a Spanish Inquisition cloak...NOBODY would expect that
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:09, Reply)
shush I'm in the library
I can't laugh
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:11, Reply)
Oops, sorry
although I will be saying "I didnt expect the spanish inquisition" to everyone just to see who replies with the correct response
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:15, Reply)
I had to fake a cough attack to hide the laugh

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:22, Reply)
I wasn't sure you would get the reference
do Monty Python sketches translate well into Spanish?
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:27, Reply)
Not at all (apart from La Llama)
I watched them in English with subtitles in English, but I only got to understand them properly quite rencently.

They are great.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:40, Reply)
I know I'm not wearing white to my wedding
(if I find someone daft and thick enough to marry me)

Plus being milky white means that I'd disappear :/

The dress isn't my style, really. And it's always best to try shit on. What sort of style are you going for- a similar one?
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:11, Reply)
Is it too soon to post derrick bird photoshops?
I don't want to incur the wrath of /board
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:11, Reply)
Don't be such a woman
if you have an idea go for it, and if they don't like it just run away and cry
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:12, Reply)
I'm sorry
You're right I'm being a woman
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:13, Reply)
Women really are the lowest forms of life

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:16, Reply)
you were at least quite funny before you went away
what happened?
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:18, Reply)
I got raped by a bearded guitarist
and it's made me unbelievably bitter
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:19, Reply)
yeah, we'll do that to you

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:19, Reply)
Again?

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:19, Reply)
that depends

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:21, Reply)
I've been a very good boy recently
and I'll even pretend not to like it?
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:22, Reply)
there's no way you will like it
we've built up a profile of you and have a list of things that you are guaranteed not to like.

rogering you with a tin of beans opened with a swiss army knife for example
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:33, Reply)
I LIVE TO SERVE
and I don't like that dress, sorry beebs
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:12, Reply)
It's not your fault
I need to find something sexier but very comfortable, I don't want to be dressed like a posh princess.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:24, Reply)
yeah, I'm a fan of the elegant, simple sort
have you thought of finding a design and making your own?
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:29, Reply)
I couldn't make a scarf!
I'm useless! I've thought of finding a design and getting someone to do it for me, but I don't want to spend a fortune; so the other idea is to buy it cheap on ebay and find someone to fix it for me.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:41, Reply)
1950s dresses are really simple but suit petite girls.
I'm not showing you my favourite one because that's MINE I tell ya!
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:30, Reply)
Having been scouring the internet looking at vintage stuff for aberracion,
I have seen so many dresses that would look ace on you.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:41, Reply)
1950s ballerina length or tea length thxplz

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:47, Reply)
Yup! those are the ones I've seen for you.

(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:52, Reply)
:D
I love them.
I'd have completely plain as well. Not even a sheen or lace.
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 15:57, Reply)
I'm very tall
For a Spaniard, that's it. I was the tallest of my friends. 1.65m!
