Argh
I’m having basically the week from hell. On Tuesday I told my housemate that I want him out by next Sunday, this is due to him not paying bills, not tidying up, eating all the food, etc. He is basically the stereotype of irritating housemate. Because of him living with me, I’m now in a fair amount of debt, due to half of the inheritance I received going on nothing but bills to cover his arse. Ugh. There’s more, but frankly it’s even less interesting than that.

I thought this would be the end of it though, and had already set a new housemate up, it would take her a month or so (which my Dad has agreed to help me through), and then I could get back on track. I’ve even been turning down others, knowing that she’ll sort me out. Yesterday, she tells me that she doesn’t want to move into my current place, can’t we look for another place? She seems utterly ignorant to the amount it would actually cost to move out. I’m now struggling to work out who I know who doesn’t live in a fucking bubble constructed by Mummy and Daddy. Add to that she’s decided to get back with her arsehole ex (again) after he’s threatened me, her, told her about how much he was sleeping with his ex behind her back, etc. And once again, she’s explained this all away in her own head.

So, erm, a question…nah, more a request. Make me laugh with the stupidest things that have happened to you recently, or a joke

Alt Q: Someone you fancy who others just don’t find attractive at all? Mine is Summer Glau, Mmmmm. Or just someone you feel guilty about fancying? Saw a recent picture of Dakota Fanning, and it felt rather odd to see how attractive she's become...

my bloke fancies Summer Glau
I think she looks like a monkey.

I love Luke Goss, he's so hot. I've never found anyone to agree with me on this.

I love that film
It was ace.

I can't wait for Tekken :D
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:16, Reply)
It is going to be pretty damn good
Although it looks like King isn't in it. This displeases me.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:17, Reply)
what?
how can they make a Tekken film without King in it?
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:19, Reply)
No idea
Even stranger is the fact they've included Marduk (played by the person they modelled the character on in the first place)

EDIT: Also missing is Lei, Paul, Xiaoyu, Kuma, and Lee
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:23, Reply)
so most of the characters then

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:27, Reply)
Yet they've included the shit ones like Raven

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:28, Reply)
As long as Jin is in there being all sexy and shit with his flamey pants I'm happy.

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:31, Reply)
Sorry...
Not quite as cool looking without the flame pants

aww he's not hot!
Gutted.

When is this meant to be coming out?
Is Brian gonna be in it? How come I have not heard of this?
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:14, Reply)
Later this year.
Yes he is.
You've had your fingers in your ears singing "La La La"?
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:22, Reply)
okay, stupid thing number one.
On tuesday, I was putting a log in the fireplace when the phone rang. I got a fright and dropped the (now flaming) log onto the hearth, and had to pick it up and shove it in the fire. As I did so I trapped my finger between the burning log and the roof of the fire, burning myself in the process.

So you'd think I'd learn to be careful around fire.
No, here's stupid thing number two. I *just* burned the other hand 15 minutes ago while putting a log in the fireplace.

so now both my hands are bandaged and sore. Go on, have a laugh. I know I am.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:13, Reply)
While that is pretty damn funny...
OW! Fuck me, that sounds painful.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:15, Reply)
ahaha yeah it is a tad sore.
I'm just laughing at my lack of coordination!

most of the women I fancy are found attractive by other people
I know I keep mentioning Bridget Regan

but this fine specimen is in the show she is in now as well

edit: according to wikipedia they have become very good friends. This can only help my plan to get them into a threesome.

yeah, she's pretty awesome
she got a bit annoying in the last couple of series though
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:18, Reply)
I've only seen to the end of series five
where she's about to get herselves killed by that Spanish guy she's shagging.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:23, Reply)
Shane beats that woman over the head with a mallet at the end of 5 doesn't he?
I need to remember to start watching the next series!
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:26, Reply)
that doesn't ring a bell, although it's a while since I've seen it
it's all about her trying to not get herself killed once the Spafia have found out she's the informant.

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:49, Reply)
it's called Legend of the Seeker
fantasy thing based on a series of books I've read. It was on Syfy.

I stumbled across it and watched a bit because it was based on the books, and then it turned out I couldn't stop watching it because she is stunning, and her outfit displays a lot of cleavage. It's reasonably entertaining in a mildly shit way.

she was only really on Disney
and then she did a few crappy (I'm lying, I fucking love them) rom coms. She's also a pretty good singer, but she does pop stuff for kids really, like Miley.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:01, Reply)
she's shit
women who are rubbish at acting are immediately less attractive.

a la Megan Fox.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:33, Reply)
I find Megan Fox quite sexy
But then, I've never seen her acting, so maybe that's why.

I haven't seen Miley acting either, just singing, and she's ok.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:36, Reply)
I saw a photoshoot of her recently
And realised that as a sum of all parts, she's lovely.

But if you look at her face when it's not shown with her body, it ain't that great. I still do like her arse though, woo!
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:38, Reply)
She is beautiful, but she's so shit that it annoys me.
There must be so many talented actresses out there that it seems such a waste.

Plus none of what makes her beautiful is real. She has fake eyelashes, contact lenses, lip injections, a nose job, cheekbone implants, a boob job and hair extensions.

she looks like a Barbie doll. She's not yet quite as bad as Katie Price though.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:27, Reply)
totally agree
Emma Watson is attractive, but she is so shit at acting...
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:38, Reply)
Don't care
*drools*
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:39, Reply)
Oh, c'mon
she's not so bad, is she?
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:47, Reply)
she's awful
Daniel Radcliffe is as well

I think it is something to do with the Harry Potter films. It makes even good actors look shit (Alan Rickman) and non-actors look terrible (most of the kids). The only people who manage to avoid the curse are Michael Gambon and Gary Oldman, and that just serves to highlight how awful everyone else is.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:49, Reply)
Well, I don't think they're so bad
They aren't brilliant, but they aren't dreadful either.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:50, Reply)
Nah, I really like Alan Rickman as Snape
There's no one else who could play it better
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:51, Reply)
Tim Roth was the perfect choice for Snape

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:52, Reply)
Nah, even when reading the books I saw Rickman playing it

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:55, Reply)
he should be good
but I find his performance kind of weird. I think Tim Roth could have played a slimier, nastier version, which is what was called for.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:57, Reply)
I wanted Jeremy Irons to play Sirius

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:00, Reply)
Gary Oldman did a good job though
I've seen a couple of recentish Jeremy Irons things and he was awful.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:02, Reply)
I don't think Jeremy Irons will ever play a better part than he did in The Colour Of Magic
That role was made for him

Danny the Champion of the World

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:03, Reply)
While it is a good film
I just can't see him ever uttering a line better than "And what are we going to do with you, you little scamp?" to someone 8 years older than him
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:08, Reply)
I have to admit that I didn't watch the Colour of Magic
largely because I thought that David Jason was a shit choice for Rincewind.

I can't imagine Jeremy Irons as the Patrician either. Charles Dance, who played him in Going Postal was excellent
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:18, Reply)
I'd say watch it, I think it's the best one so far

Also, Dead Ringers.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:42, Reply)
I kind of agree with you here but...
I do think it's a good way for kids to be exposed to some brilliant actors like Rickman, Gambon, Coltrane, Oldman etc as they might go and check out some of there other work. Plus Hermione has turned into a walking prison sentence.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:52, Reply)
you are right about it being a good way to get in contact with them
I can't help but compare them to the kids in the Narnia films who are much more natural. I think that's the problem, the ones in Harry Potter seem much more like they are acting.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:53, Reply)
they were only picked because they looked like the characters in the book
which is a shame because the acting is so much more important.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:00, Reply)
yeah totally

I watched the new Alice in Wonderland last night. Cause of the bad reviews I wanted to wait until the hype had died done and I loved it. I was expecting to hate it but found myself loving it. Could have been due to the spain germany excitement as well though.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:56, Reply)
I really enjoyed it as well
I reckon it'd have been better if I hadn't seen it in 3D.

I love the books and enjoy other people's take on the characters and the land.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:57, Reply)
my favourite book as a kid
twas Alice and is the only book ive downloaded onto my phone. Its pretty cool having an ireader on your mobile. I didnt watch it in 3d, have yet to experience that medium, am dreading dissapointment.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:00, Reply)
I wouldn't bother with 3D
Avatar was cool in 3D as a novelty, but even in that the 3D didn't make it like looking across a room, it looked like a bunch of seperate layers at different distances.

Not worth the extra money or the extra blurriness on the things at the edge of focus in my opinion.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 10:01, Reply)
I really wanted to love it because I love Tim Burton's work
but I just thought it was really boring and I didn't care about any of the characters, so the end battle scene was redundant because I didn't care who won.

I did make a replica of Alice's red dress though because it was so pretty.

Ok, stupid things wot I done
On sunday my neighbours cat came into my garden and proceeded to lie at my feet, roll on his back and wave his paws in the air. With most cats this means "tickle my tummy plz" but I have learnt from past painful experience that this cat just likes rolling on his back and will shred the hand/arm of anyone foolish enough to try tickle-tums. However (and here comes the stoopid part), I was a bit hungover on sunday and in a momentary lapse of attention gave his tummy-tum a good rub...cue four paws locking onto my arm in a pointy-scratchy death grip from kitty-hell.

I've just checked my arm, yup, more track marks than a clumsy smack addict.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:36, Reply)
My sister has a ferret and when I look after him I bath him because he smells
I learnt the hard way that ferrets do not like baths and will use anything within range to claw their way out of the bath. He used my arm and then my hair. It was about a month ago and there are still feint marks. I look like a cutter.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:47, Reply)
Poor you!
There are so many questions to make. Does your sister bath him? How did you get rid of him hanging from your hair? Have you started to use thick oven gloves to bath him? But most important, why a ferret!!??
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:49, Reply)
Backstreet abortionist

(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:52, Reply)
ferrets are pretty cool
they're quite fun to have, like cats only less maintenance, they don't need to go outside for example, so you can have them in a flat where you shouldn't have a cat.

My sister doesn't bath him because she's got used to the smell whereas Wiggy finds it really offensive so I bath him to make Wiggy less averse to having him in the house.

I just bath him using the showerhead from a distance now so he can't climb up me, he only tries to get away when there's running water on him so I can shampoo him without him ripping my skin up.

I got him out my hair very slowly and carefully, little fucker.
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:56, Reply)
Unfortunately ferrets just smell
Even the animal kingdom family name they belong to Mustelidae refers to the fact that they stink. It's all to do with anal scent glands, but then isn't that always the case...
(, Thu 8 Jul 2010, 9:55, Reply)
True, plus he's a boy and boys smell more.
Apparently his scent glands go into overdrive when you bath him so he gets even stinkier a couple of days later, but that's when I give him back so she has to deal with it instead.

Ha!
