I had a male friend whose girlfriend hated me and he found a total bullshit reason to fall out with me
and stopped speaking to me for the entirety of their relationship. When they broke up he admitted it had all been bollocks.

If this bloke has had to put up with pressure from his girlfriend to fall out with you he might just have given in.

In my experience
Girls have a fantastic ability to wear a man down, fiendishly boxing him in so that he's damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't. Often the simplest route is to just acquiesce to all her demands.

+ shag her mates when she's away

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 12:47, Reply)
I would never do such a thing
How DARE you!

yeah I'm trying to cut one of my 'friends' out of my life because he does my head in
but I'm trying not to force Wiggy to do it too, but it's hard because now this guy has got a girlfriend he keeps inviting me and Wiggy round for lame couples evenings and I don't want to go but I don't to stop Wiggy from hanging out with him if he wants to.

It's always a tricky situation
I've got some lolfriendsdrama of my own, although thankfully I'm not directly involved. I wish people would man the fuck up.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 12:54, Reply)
In my case I wish some people would fuck the fuck off.

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 12:57, Reply)
Couldn't agree more!
Oh, wait... that was a hint...

I hate couple's evenings, but I hate 'lets set up all our friends with each other' evenings worst.

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 12:59, Reply)
I would never do that
I don't like encouraging other people's happiness
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:11, Reply)
Good.
There is always one there, one of the single people you invite, who thinks "I'm to good for these people, christ, they're ovbously single, look at them with their blah-blah" and then uses the whole time the next time telling you about how much of a loser those people are, subtally though, and then he goes home and cries to himself at night.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:19, Reply)
So...Chompy then?

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:30, Reply)
I am too good for these people.

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:32, Reply)
which people?
your friends' friends or ^ these people ^ right here?
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:39, Reply)
Most people on the planet.

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:43, Reply)
i am going to presume that i am excluded from the most
and am therefore better than you. as we both know this is the case.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:48, Reply)
Same with a friend of mine
Her boyfriend never liked me or my housemate (we're both massive flirts). One night my housemate was flirting with her (we all knew it was harmless), and the boyfriend kicked off, and tried to attack him. Housemate walked away, did the sensible thing.

Because we were pissed, and he was sober, it was turned round to be all our fault, because I told the boyfriend to fuck off earlier in the night.

But we've known each other for a loooooong time
and he's always resisted her propaganda and gotten along with me well. Which makes me think I might have been a dick, I suppose, but I really don't think I was.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 12:48, Reply)
Girlfriends never like me. (unless they're friends with me anyway)
I've always been very apologetic and offer to back off, but the guy has always been like "don't be daft, she's being an idiot. I'm not going to stop being friends with you cos she's in a tiz" So thankfully I've never lost any friends from it.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:02, Reply)
Yes, but I suspect the difference between us is
that I am dull, plain and harmless, and you are not.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:04, Reply)
If this is true (which I doubt :p)
Then surely it should be the other way around?
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:06, Reply)
Well, I mean that I am wholly
un-threatening. So she shouldn't dislike me on that basis, which is probably the basis that your friend's girlfriends don't like you on.
is it just me or was that sentence really convoluted?
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:09, Reply)
Ahh, I see.
Yeah, that's pretty much the reason they don't like me. I forsee particular difficulties with my best friend's new girlfriend.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:20, Reply)
I generally get on well with mate's partners
but that is because when I try hard, I can be nice and funny and a bit ditzy. It's when the concentration slips that things go tits up
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:39, Reply)
ha ha, the prize for the most subtle way to call applebite a slag goes to berk.

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:06, Reply)
Not at all!
She freely admits she is predatory and I've seen photos of her in the flickr pool. So she's certainly not plain or harmless, and I doubt very much that she is dull.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:11, Reply)
Don't worry, I wasn't offended in the slightest :)
Chompy is just stirring.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:20, Reply)
Always

(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:31, Reply)
You're not plain either from what I recall
although I did don the wine spectacles rather early.
(, Thu 5 Aug 2010, 13:51, Reply)
Aw, cheers dude
Beer goggles are my friend.
