I used to make my own ADB
by mixing a tin of beans with two grilled sausages (chopped up), two rashers of bacon (chopped up) and some scrambled eggs.

Eat it on toast, fucking lush.

I'm having breakfast for dinner tomorrow.
Beans, veggie sausage and egg. I haven't had that for fucking ages.

I thought you were back on the MEAT these days?

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:07, Reply)
Only free range chicken.
No red meat. I'll never go back to red meat.

Why?

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:33, Reply)
meeting a whole bunch of new people (sort of)
it's irrational, given that we all know each other reasonably well and get on and such.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:37, Reply)
You've met a few already.
It's no biggie.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:39, Reply)
yeah and if I can deal with the likes of Kaol I can cope with anything ;-)
I am pretty excited about meeting some more of you guys. Not Al though, as he is now dead to me

I'm not sure CHCB and Catface are planning on getting married again anytime soon

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:40, Reply)

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:40, Reply)
My venison casserole this evening was bloody lush
I had some mash left at the end so I went and had seconds. I love slow cookers.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:14, Reply)
is it better than just eating that stuff seperately though?
I like the idea of it, but would find it hard to bring myself to do it.

I recommend chopping up some chorizo and cooking that with a tin of beans and having it on toast. lovely.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:06, Reply)
If you cover it in grated cheese
and then grill it and nom it down nice and quick (YES MONTY I SAID NOM! NOM NOM NOM!)

I really miss being a student, I couldn't ever bring myself to do it now.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:08, Reply)
it sounds pretty good
I might eat that on Friday night when the mrs is out.

or make myself a meatball sandwich
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:09, Reply)
I do love heavily adulterated beans on toast
a little of everything from the herb and spice rack. Get in.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:08, Reply)
I tend to just go for one thing
like curry paste or worcester sauce or something

or the aforementioned chorizo
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:12, Reply)
Yeah, mix in some HP sauce, some BBQ sauce, a dash of Reggae Reggae Ketchup

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:12, Reply)
I'm a bit of a purist with things like that.
Why meddle with something that already tastes delicious.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:13, Reply)
are beans
really that great
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:15, Reply)
I think so.
I prefer them to the other brands.

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:25, Reply)
I find that an odd attitude
but each to their own I suppose.

I can't help think though that a fillet of beef tastes fucking good, but sometimes it's nice to smother it in paté and wrap it in pastry.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:22, Reply)
That isn't something that is a ready made product.
If I was to make my own baked beans I might experiment but I like Heinz baked beans as they are.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:24, Reply)
do you not even give them a bit of pepper?

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:25, Reply)
Not really.
I give Heinz tomato soup a bit of pepper.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:27, Reply)
fair enough
Heinz tomato soup definitely calls for pepper.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:30, Reply)
Typically I add
worcestershire sauce, a little sweet pickle, some brown sauce, garlic powder or chopped garlic, chili powder, oregano and thyme. I'll vary the two herbs e.g. one week I might try basil and sage but over the years I've settled on those as the ones I like best.

Tried mint once, just a hint, it was good but strange.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:16, Reply)
I sometimes feel the same about women

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:16, Reply)
At that point I'd just have an actual all day breakfast
like that but without the chopping up.

And fried rather than scrambled because I prefer it, and it's quicker.
