Always buy shops own brand meds; an example, Piriteze 12 tabs £4.49; each tablet contains 10mg Cetirizine. Morrison's own brand Hay Fever tablets, 16 tablets, 10mg Cetirizine, £1.29.

I've never understood why people spend 10 times more on branded paracetamol. Its not going to make any difference to it effectiveness.

I've been looking for the exact reference but can't find it at present - I'm sure I read it in Ben Goldacre's book Bad Science.
Basically it can be summarised as a placebo effect though, so I guess if you know that then it may not actually work...

sell 28 tabs of hayfever meds for about £1.20.
I buy many months supply in single trips! no laws on how many you can have unlike paracetemol...

I get 30 Loratadine (usually 6 for £3) for 68p.
So I bought 120 of them a few years back for a couple of quid. still using them now.
