I agree.
I consider Pink Floyd to be one of the best groups I've ever encountered, at least pre-Animals. They've been a consistent favorite since I first heard them in the 70s.

That's not to say that they're all I listen to, of course- my musical tastes vary from day to day- but I still get a thrill out of listening to "Echoes", which is not something I can say for many pieces of music.
