Two Hats watched the shittest Batman film ever made
What other movies are really awful but enjoyable?
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:10, archived)
the second ghost rider film

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:11, archived)
No, that's just awful.
You have to admire Ciaran Hinds for throwing himself into his role and actually sending his soul to hell, though.

Drive Angry was the same thing done better - it's still terrible, but much more enjoyable.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:44, archived)
fuck you, it was fun

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:47, archived)
It was miserable.

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:49, archived)
UR miserable, m8e

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:03, archived)
I like to see myself as a happy-go-lucky scamp.
You might be right though - I once switched off Spinal Tap after 20 minutes, on account of it being boring, and not very funny.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:15, archived)
:O

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:17, archived)
I'm sure that I'd enjoyed it, the first time around.
Doubt I'll bother revisiting it, though - it's no All You Need Is Cash.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:26, archived)
Ok, this is a problem
Shut it down
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:33, archived)
Yes, Dark City is great.

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:44, archived)

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:12, archived)
That is superb

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:22, archived)
It's magnificent
Unlike a lot of movies from that time, it doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest. The survival nut grandpa, the heavy metal boyfriend, the 'swinging' mum and dad....just excellent.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:23, archived)
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Can't find it on Youtube though
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:13, archived)
That film gave me The Fear, as a kid.
The music from the mine level in Sonic 2 was similar, and would thus send me spiraling into fear.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:46, archived)
KK and Stephen King's IT are responsible for an entire generation of people who are afraid of clowns

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:57, archived)
I put off watching IT when I was a school, certain that it would give me nightmares (Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and Ghostwatch taught me that lesson).
When I finally sat down to it on TV, a couple of years back, they only showed the first half. :(

That reminds me, Dreamcatcher is one of those so bad it's good films.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:03, archived)

You want vindictive?
Whoever did this one was obviously sat in front of the telly one evening and got annoyed at everything:

Half of them don't make sense (what with them actually being talented)
the other half are just people he doesn't like.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:32, archived)
I'd probably go gay if Benedict Cumberpatch asked me nicely.
Me, him, and Barack Obama. Mmm.

Can someone mention a film with Nicole Kidman to straighten me out, again?
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:58, archived)
Paddington

Ta.
She's proper foxy in that, too. Shares my daughter's name, though, which makes things awkward.

For some reason, I'm now thinking of Estelle Skornik's Nicole. This is no bad thing.

I'd let her stuff my bear, if you know what I mean.

I'd like to insert my penis into her vagina and rhythmically slide it in and out until I ejactulate
If you know what I mean
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:39, archived)
I'm quite sure that I have no idea what on earth you could possibly be referring to.
It sounds disgusting, and I should very much like to learn more.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:41, archived)
Do you live near an internet?
You should be able to get a pamphlet or summat
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:46, archived)
I've just put "I'd like to insert my penis into her vagina and rhythmically slide it in and out until I ejactulate" into Google,
and the first result looks to be someone's prepubescent incest fantasy. Thanks a lot, 2Hats.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 14:26, archived)
i'm afraid i don't

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:41, archived)
It's disgusting, I promise you

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:47, archived)
Pretty much all the Friday 13th, Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street sequels
Beyond Halloween 2, of course. That one's actually really good.

Suburban Commando
Not that I've seen it for a long time, but I loved it as a kid.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:19, archived)
My kids tend to get a kick out of those 3 Ninjas films - wasn't Hogan in one of those?
90 minutes of kids kicking adults in the balls, what's not to love?
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:56, archived)
Yes, I believe he is
And what about those Air Bud films? There are loads of those....each one more punny than the last.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:59, archived)
Not seen those, although I have enjoyed a guilty chuckle at some of the later Beethoven installments.
First one's a bit iffy, though, as I'm not sure that attempted rape belongs in a family film.

I've also caught myself enjoying the Chipmunk films, to my eternal shame.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:09, archived)
I foolishly watched Chipwrecked without watching The Squeakquel
So I found the subtext of the plot very difficult to follow
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:52, archived)
Nearly all Bond films

All the Hellraiser movies

I got halfway through the second one, then gave up.
The first Wishmaster is a bit of a giggle, but it's similarly downhill from there.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:53, archived)
I can understand that
You have to want to watch them
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:55, archived)
dunno bit subjective that

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:43, archived)
I was going to nominate Dolph Lundgren's He-Man film,
but then I remembered that it is brilliant, and so doesn't qualify.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 11:48, archived)
i think that i am going to download this tonight.
it was the first film that i ever went to see at the cinema.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:29, archived)
First thing I went to see without my parents was Twins.
First thing ever might have been E.T. as I made my dad take me home before the end (it is a truly dull film). I watched Batman and He-Man at a Butlins, which may have been the highlight of that holiday (close second would have been the presence of a TMNT arcade game).
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:54, archived)
First one at the cinema for me was The Secret of Nihm

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 12:59, archived)
well I have never heard of this but I will now be downloading this for my sisters daughter.

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:10, archived)
If you only see one movie about mouse victimisation this year, make sure it's The Secret of Nimh

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:45, archived)
I went with my dad and uncle somewhere in Liverpool but i was only 6 so I remember very little.
After seeing the film though I was obsessed with He Man, my aunty had heard that "He Man" and "Skeletor" were opening a new shop in Widnes so took me when I was still about 6, apparently two of the shittest characters dressed as the aforementioned arrived and I spent the next 30 minutes cowering under a bench in the high street too scared to come out and see them.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:09, archived)
People in costumes scared the crap out of me, too, when I was a child.

(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:21, archived)
I'm going to avoid the obvious gay themed bullying that this implies
And agree with you. The first movie is typical of supernatural, low-ish budget horror movies of the mid 80's. Bad dialogue, bad acting, terrible effects, wacky characters wearing coloured shades. It has everything.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:38, archived)
Cosmos: Battle Of The Planets
Lynch's Dune
The GI Joe movies
ALL of Romero's Cash Grab of the Dead films
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:36, archived)
the first three Dead movies are perfect examples of the genre
but all the others....I'll give you that.
(, Tue 21 Apr 2015, 13:40, archived)
I tried to re-watch Dune the other week
I couldn't last 5 mins. My threshold for 80s shittery has been worn very very thin.
