Sadly not very lol over heretowards the end of last year I heard a friend of mine had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She died yesterday. Her last few months were not very good.
Also been talking to colleagues who knew the young person at work who killed herself.
Not much fucking lol going around right now.

Yeesh.My girlfriend's dad died of that nearly five years ago. He got great care but it was more or less a forgone conclusion as soon as he was diagnosed. I understand it's one of the least treatable ones you can get.

I have very fond memoriesof being in a band with her as a kid as she belted out blues numbers. She was a lovely woman, huge fun, infectious laugh and wasn't shy with it. She's been a friend of the family for decades and my folks are both devastated, but have some fantastic memories. Gonna see if I can find some old pics on their HD...

I wouldn't offer a job to anyone with visible tattoos.Obviously I'd find an ostensible reason not to make an offer, wouldn't want to get my collar (space) felt for discrimination.
Then again, tattoos aren't a protected characteristic (unless you're a Maori, I suppose) so employers are perfectly entitled to discriminate on that basis.
