(, Mon 14 Jun 2010, 11:07, archived)
# An EOS 20D
A bit old, but with a Sigma 10-20mm and careful use of filters you can achieve some good things.

# nice camera
I just got an EOS 450D, more like the cameras I grew up with.
(still got an A1 that I drag out occasionally)
(, Mon 14 Jun 2010, 11:19, archived)
# Sweet whats the A1 like?
I have always been tempted to get a manual film camera. i got the Canon 1000F but its abit to automated for my liking.
(, Mon 14 Jun 2010, 11:23, archived)
# My camera's a manual-wind film camera
Pentax P30. I was given it for my 18th birthday; 16 years later, it's still doing sterling service.

I suspect it'll outlive the easy availability of 35mm film...
(, Mon 14 Jun 2010, 11:29, archived)
# had it 30 odd years
been round the world 3 times and all over aus, battered as fuck but still takes a great pic.

You learn to bracket exposures pretty quickly with a manual camera but the A1 has a program mode so you can still basically point and shoot.
