there's plenty racism on /board. however a bit of racism can be funny if the joke is funny.
If it's unfunny, repetitive, general bullshit, then it tends to be unpopular...

People objected to your post because it unkindly showed a blatantly stereotypical generalisation of black people because they're black,
and practically all of us know from personal experience that that generalisation is false.
And it wasn't accompanied with a good joke.
Now have a bit of grace, please.

On the other hand, I'm up to here with "political correctness," and if it takes something like this to demonstrate that, then so be it. My bit of grace is "get a grip."

In all fairness your image is just a collection of items in a vending machine and therefore any inference of racism is in the eyes of those viewing the image, however you do yourself no favours by pandering to such stereotypes or being trollish when people, quite rightly, complain about said stereotyping.
If it wasn't your intention - state so. If it was then you will be held up as a racist bigot which, sorry to say, you will have to live with here.

would be an item that would surely spoil--had no racial intent. Next I put live fish, rabbits and baked chicken--again, as items that would not survive the machine. It was only after using and discarding a variety of items that I decided on the 'gang theme' items.
All of your concerns of "racism" aside, these Items WOULD be hot sellers in, say, a ghetto convenience store, whether b3tans like the idea or not.
I don't BELIEVE racial stereotypes any more than I believe the Queen is a blow-up doll. But I see no reason to avoid depicting them JUST to avoid the wrath of people who have been programmed to scream "racism."

When gangster rappers (50pence and all those other who can't sing) use the word "Nigga" in their songs and everyday life, but when a "Honky" uses the word "Nigga" we're racist. Don't make sense to me!
( ,

this was the case with homosexuals claiming the word Queer. The words themselves are still intrinsically offensive but in attempting to claim the word it somehow disarms the bigots - in theory.
But in fact the "N"-word is still extremely offensive to Black people, even when said by other Black people.
Bigots are bigots and they come in all colours, shapes and sizes.

I just find it strange thats all. Like lesbians who hate men but dress up and try to look like one. Do you have an explanation for this?
( ,
Sat 20 Nov 2010, 10:30,

Not all lesbians dress like men, but I think it's more that they hate the attitudes of men rather than hating all men. Sexuality is sexuality I'm not going to judge others by their tastes unless it's something genuinely wrong. "Stop doing that Mediocre!" ;)

As a female busdriver I'm often accused of being a lesbian because it's such a male-dominated job. There are a few lesbian busdrivers and they are all lovely people and are not in anyway "Men Haters" or even that butch, they just happen to be attracted to other women.
As for the "Butch Boy" ones you mention have you ever thought they may be Gender Dsyphoric (transsexuals) rather than lesbians - there is a big difference between gender identity and sexuality.
