The one that Al Qaeda have a nuke hidden in Europe somewhere (reported in The Metro/The Telepgraph) may have many nuerotic types twitching in their beds, personally I think they will say anything as they are Terrorist they like to terrorise.
Any backlash I think will be small and ill-planned opportunist type attacks which in many cases are the worse kind as you don't know where and when they will happen.

As a busdriver I've just had training on how to deal with a suspect device on the bus and strangely enough running out of the cab and down the street shouting "Run fer yer lives there's a bomb on the bus!" didn't come into it.
