Are you just pissed off that they don't review Cliffs stuff anymore?
EDIT: Obviously they're nothing compared to your band. Sorry what were you called?

I apologise
I know it's not a good start when i post something that instantly kicks a little controversy. Which band do you like from that platter? I actually don't mind a few songs i just dont like the idolising of the bands.

^this.
NME review bands and promote them - but they have to be established enough for NME to take notice, so they'd exist anyway.
Also there are far, far worse music mags out there.

ever read "Cider with roadies" ?
that wasn't always the case
in the past NME has created the demand so to speak
"romo" being one of the worst examples

True, I admit.
They do help bands become established. However, I doubt Razorlight or the Arctic Monkeys were brought into existence purely by NME.

which doesn't improve matters, to be perfectly honest.

They still do
But I belive in the case of the Artic Monkeys it's well documented that they're self made. But we still get some twunt student that'll be an accountant in two years to knock their achievements!

Someones been following the mighty evangelism of Bill Hicks.
Or something of a nature.
No matter how much I love Hicks he is just a comedian.
Wow thats real deviation from what the hell was being discussed.

It's not controversial, just a bit of a sweeping statement
You say since 1952 but only mention very recent bands.
Plus to be fair they've helped thousands of excellent bands. Many I guess you also like.
But nice entrance :D

Nah nor me
But then again I don't really like any music made in the last 25 years lawl.
And this years line-up at reading looks like a big pile of crap, I think there were only two bands there that I even slightly like

My mum summed it up this weekend
Kaiser Chiefs, write a fairly decent album.
Write new album, based on same songs, but changed very slightly.
Profit

hmmm, I wouldhave to disagree
except for Razorlight who are a bunch of arrogant cnuts that are just recycling the Boomtown Rats and making easy listening Bob Geldolf songs.
